Motions don't stay active when doors and windows are on too.

Press doors and windows and motions, but motions don't stay active. After I activate both doors and windows and motions, the motions don't stay on. If I press Motions only, then they stay on. It was working fine for awhile, but now it's not.

When I press both buttons, both are lit up. But after the time period to get out of the house, the motions light goes out and they don't stay active.

The system is working as designed. If you arm both doors/windows and motions, but you DON'T exit the premises during the exit delay, the system will "downgrade" its arming to doors/windows only. The assumption is that you haven't actually left the premises and are at risk of creating fale alarms. This behavior can be disabled in System Configuration (though it may require the dealer access code to do it).

Try opening and closing a sensored external door (even if you don't go outside) during the delay after arming doors+motion and see if the motions don't stay active.

When arming doors/windows and motion, after the time delay and actually arms, the motions light goes off.. why only doors/windows arm and not motion too?

Is this alarm part of the original car or an add on? Some alarms have different zones that can be activated or deactivated depending on the preference of the owner. If it is aftermarket you will need the manual to execute a sequence to arm or unarm the motion detector zone. The motion detector could be faulty and the alarm is isolating that zone. Vista-20p/ps series. when set for ARMED AWAY and after the delay period, the system become ARMED STAY. why is it?

If you arm and do not open the door programed as an entry/exit the system will still think you are inside. So it will only arm your perimeter and not the interior motions. Be prepared for your motions, if any, to set off your alarm if you arm, open door then close it and stay inside.

I have a MOD 600 alarm, installed about 9 years ago. Every time I pass a sensor the alarm makes three beeps. How do I stop it?

Hello. This is a normal response to the motions detector while people are active within the home.
The alarm is a semi active mode that is the motions detector will beep, if a door is open there could be active voice alarm or beeping from Central alarm within the home. The same will happen if a window is opened, beep, beep, beep.

In this mode it lets the home owner while in his/her home that the alarm is on and it will let you know when the doors, windows or floor pressure sensor is activated.

There another mode for the alarm system that is if you have pets. It can be activated that only things that are inactive is the motion and pressure sensors. They beep but will not execute the full alarm system.

The there is full alarm system activation where every sensor is operational----full Alarm On....

Now, if you don't like the beeping, then you can turn the alarm system off while you or your husband is in the home. But it will not notify you if the door, window, motion, pressure sensor are activated. I hope this help you. GB....stewbison

Have ADT 3000 series alarm system - would like to set it to max

adt sw3000 panel does not support max button on key pad. best solution would be to have ADT tech reprogram Zones so windows are perimeter zones(instant when armed away or stay) and motions interior follower (instant when no perimeter zone was triggered first). doors stay exit/entry.
