If your tv has inputs for many devices you can connect them. You need to simply change the tv input SOURCE to whatever #/type of input you want to view from.
You can use an y remote if programmed properly- that is another issue. programming the remote to control that deviovce but first see if it works right.
if the brighthouse remote can control the tv, change the input or source to whatever the dvd is in, other wise try the tv remote.
make it simple first, then you can try getting the one remote to control it IF it can.
my cable remote cannot control all my devices but does the tv.
Unfortunately, your remote control predates TV/DVD combos and as such the manual does not list a code for a Sylvania TV/DVD combos.
To make this control work with a TV/VCR combo, one would enter 0054 for the TV controls and 0081 for the VCR controls. May I suggest you try the following codes for the TV: 0054, 0030, 0096, 0020, 0381. If these codes do not work, try running through the auto-code search.
The manual for the URC-4330 does not list any Sylvania DVD codes at all, so I recommend running through the auto-code search. Here are the steps:
On the remote control, press DVD once.
Press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.
Enter 9 - 9 - 1.The LED will blink twice.
Aim the remote control at the the DVD and slowly alternate between pressing POWER and DVD. Stop when the DVD turns off.
To lock in the code, press and hold SET until the LED blinks twice, then release SET.

I solved the problem by useing the brighthouse remote procedure to locate the code # appropriate for the Insignia 32" tv, the unit is currently functioning as it should, thanks for responding.
I donot care to signup for your services for future use.
Try pressing the TV button on the Prima remote to make it work on the TV. It should work on the Prima Tv without new codes. Codes would be needed for your cable box.
Consider calling Prima at 866-447-7462 for the codes. They should have a website for the codes or email you the codes for free.
HERE IS ALL I CAN FIND ...
015,030,007,040,062,101,233,045,026,062,102,118,122,130,131.
I HAVE A TOSHIBA TOO BUT I HAVE BRIGHTHOUSE ...
THESE ARE UNIVERSAL REMOTE CODES FROM 3 DIFFERENT SORCES ... GOOD LUCK.
"122" WORKS ON MINE,
YOUR REMOTE SHOULD HAVE A "AUTO-SEARCH" MODE ... IT TAKES SOME TIME BUT IT WILL WORK. ALSO ANY TV OLDER THAN 1986. MOST CODES ARE OUT DATED.
