There are a few possible reasons why it won't power on. One, it could be the power supply, look in the back of the computer when its plugged in to see if there is a light on, not all power supplys have a this light though. Secondly, it could be the motherboard and/or cpu is none operational, and was damaged during the move.

Firdt check another outlet ,that outlet maybe dead. then check if the power cord is properly seated in the plug at back of tower, then check if it has a reset button power supply, then open the case and check if duing moving the inside power connection came loose. check all the connections, then If it still wont work, either the power supply went dead or somehow the system motherborad fried

There is usually a reset and a ON button. the latter being larger was that one tried?
If you have a battery UPS you might have turned that off and it will only supply battery power might not be enough to turn unit back on.

K8N mortheboard no signal screen

HI,

In this new tower you are swttching to, does it have it's own power supply? And if so, what are the amps, and what are the amps on your old power supply? I have the K8N, and it needs at least 450W to run decent. Let me know?

E-machine mouse problem. I unplugged so I could move the tower. When I plugged back in it do not work and the connection seems loose.

Ok more definitive would be a plus.
Ok is it a usb or p9 round >?
First when you move your comp you need to unplug everything you dont want to damage the motherboard
If you think it was heavey you might have bumped the connection and damged the contact tothe motherboard if the mouse wasnt connected you need too go to contraol panels and establish that it is recognized. After that you may want to get a new mouse.

When comp loads up asking for a boot device

Would you mind and give more information!!
Sometimes "" comp loads up asking for a boot device"" because the wires & the connectors are NOT connected properly . Did you go into the computer [laptop?, Desktop?, Tower?] and move things around? Did you pull?,shove? ,tug? at anything inside the 'comp'.?? Unplug the power and PUSH e v e r - s o - slightly EVERY PLUG, connector (cables coming from computer going to h/d [hard drive], plug power (electricity) and turn her on.... see what happens....

HP Tower (2000 Media Edition)

Sounds like your power supply unit is dead. Do you get any power or hard drive lights on the unit? If not, I'm afraid it's a repair shop problem.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
