Motorola MD760 dies after 5 minutes of use-- from being charged for days on base

I may have purchased a unit with a 'dud' battery, phone is new - 2 mos old and whenever used for more than 4-5 minutes of chat, it dies. Seems to not really ever charge the battery when on the base for hours/days past 25%. Is it probably just a bad battery or something more? I do not want to replace the battery if the problem is in the base or some other handset defect. thanks

I think I have a problem with my base charging system, it does not keep the phones charged. Constantly playing musical phones by placing the different phones on different handsets to keep a charge. It seems this is the second time I've replaced batteries and I'm frustrated. I've never had this much problem with any of my other cordless phones.

Handset won't charge

well, it is possible it has a bad cell in the battery, never reaching full voltage. check the battery with a volt meter if possible for 3.6 volts. otherwise trial and error may solve it, but batterys are getting to cost as much as phones nowdays.

All three of my Panasonic KX-TGA630S phones are extremely crackly and full of static. What do I do about this?

I already had the base unit and 2 additional handsets, but one month ago, two of the handset do not charge the battery,

I leave the phones charging for 24 hours, and certainly not reached using 5 minutes and dies

I place it in the base load, and loading sign appears, showing up not being charged as well because if I leave it 24 hours Supposed to be loaded.

Switch the phone off at the Mains 5 mins,
Re-register the phones to the base unit.
Your manual will show you how.
Should be good then.

Searching for base and battery loses power too soon

Have the batteries been changed since the system was purchased... 4 years is a fairly good usage for batteries in that type of use.
Good news you should have no trouble buying replacement batteries... even walmart has them. Open the back of one of the phones... the battery has a small plug.. pull that out and you will see the part number... about 25 dollars each battery pack... cheaper if you are in the states.
One note tho... when you replace the battery pack you need to charge it for at least 12 hours prior to the first usage 24 hours even better.

Cl flashing on display

You need to reset the time after a power outage.  Press the Day/Check, Hour, and Minute buttons until the correct time is heard-- Press Day/Check until you hear the correct day announced. Then do the same with Hour, and then Minute.

Uniden handset TCX905 with base unit TRU8866-if compatible?

I just successfully registered 4 TCX905s with my TRU8865 base - it's documented in the TCX905 manual.

Be sure the handset you want to register is fully charged.

Remove the handset you want to register from its charger.

Now unplug the AC for the main base, hold down the 'find handset' key on the base and plug the AC in again, when it beeps, you can let go of that button.

Hold down the '#' on the handset you want to register, it will show 'Registering Handset...' and when it beeps, it's done - registered, you're good to go :)

Phone loses connection after few minutes

I looked up the battery specs for your phone. They are 3 X 200mah= 600mah battery packs. They should last 8 hrs talk time with the headsets. This style of battery pack in my experience only last about 1 1/2years and sometimes longer and "sometimes" shorter...much shorter. I bet you never had problems when you first got them. Basicly this "battery design arrangment" goes back many years before newer battery technlogy was developed. But designers still insist on using them even today. They are cheap to make. ****Time to replace them with new ones.**** Make sure you follow the mfgs charging instructions: "After battery installation, place the handsets in their base unit or charger and allow to charge for 16 hours before use. You can keep the battery charged by returning the handsets to their base unit or charger after each use. When the battery is fully depleted, a recharge takes about 12 hours. Average talk time on a fully charged battery is about eight hours depending on environmental conditions, standby time is approximately four days." Good luck

Base phone handset #1 holding charge

The base unit should not need a charge. It should be powered by the plug in adapter. It may have a battery to keep operation for a short time in a power outage. The adapter may be loose, the adapter could be broken or the plug in the phone may be broken.
