I dropped my phone by accident

I was walking to my room and i dropped my phone on accident on the tile floor. The only thing that shows up is a white screen. I tried the guessing to where the unlock bar is but nothing. It's just a white screen. What is the issue and how can i get it fixed?

You may have an easy fix. First you have to open up your phone. When you lift up on the glass, on the top right side of your phone there are 3 cables, you need to see if the cables are connected and did not pop out. This could fix your problem. If all the cables are on good, then, you have a bad LCD and you also may have a bad digitizer also. You can send your iPhone in for $14.99 for diagnostics at iPhone Replacement Parts and they can either fix it with no parts or troubleshoot it to see exactly what parts you will need.

Ceramic tile installation

To Start a Ceramic Tile Project:
1st: Figure out the Size of the Room-Length x Width. This will give you the suare Footage of the Room, and will Determine the amount of Materials You will need for Preparation of Floor before Tile Installation.

2nd: Pick out the size of Tiles, and the Color you wish to Purchase(Decide if it is a High Traffic Area) Tile Comes in different Grades, and if a High Traffic area, you will need a Higher Grade Tile.

3rd: Materials needed for Preparation- Hardy Backer Board(1/2"-3' x 5'). HardyBoard Screws, Unsanded Mastec, Spacers-Depending on Tile Spacing/size of Tiles, 1' x 4' boards. (Tools Needed- Drill, Chalkline, Measuring tape, 3/16 x 3/16 Trowel, 1/4 x 1/4 trowel).

Installation; )Preparation) 1- Apply a 3/16 x3/16 trowel of Unsanded mastecon floor before laying the Backerboard. Screw the Backer Board to the floor recessing screws. (Never have Backerboard meet with 4 pices meet together, off set each piece of backerboard during Installation). After sweeping the room, use a trowel to fill screw holes with unsanded Mastec. Tape all Joints and fill with un-sanded Mastec.(Let Dry for 24 hours).

Tile Installation:- 1st- Sand Mastec used for joints, and screw holes. 2nd- Sweep roome very good and vacuum very well. 3rd- Measure each wall to find the Center Point of the room.(I prefer nailing a board down across one side of the line to keep tiles straight, and butt tiles to the board, and put spacers in between tiles). I use a 1/4" trowel to butter tiles before laying. With using Spacers, buttering tiles, laying tiles.( I prefer using a 2 x 4 and tap tiles across with a rubber Mallet to keep all tiles same heigth). Let One side tiles laid for 24 hours. 4th- Then do the same thing with other side of line.

Finishing Project: Once all the tiles are set, and all spacers removed. Mix up color of Choice unsanded Grout, and follow Manufacturers mixture Specs. Use grout Float and fill Spacing between Tiles. Let dry for 15 minutes. Use bucket of Clean water and Big sponge rinsing frequently removing all Grout from Tiles. Let dry for 30 minutes, and clean tiles again with Clean Water. Let set overnight. Next day, take Clean towel and rub haze off the tiles. Lastly, Seal Tile and grout.

Enjoy your project, and the Satisfaction of doing it yourself. Hope i was some help!!

I have a flooring which is 4 meters by 4 meters i will be using a 16 x 16 tiles how many tiles to i need

40-60 tiles depending on what is in the room.If it is a water closet around 40 if it is a wide open room and the whole floor is to be covered,it will take closer to 60 tiles.I would go with a few more tiles than I needed just in case one breaks or a bad cut is made.It is better to have a lil extra than not enough.

Can ceramic tile be installed over old ceramic tile?

You can install tile over tile. However here are the risks. The new tiles will require at least 3/16" of tile adhesive UNDER the tiles when put in place after they have been pressed into position. Additionally the trim around the tiles willhave to be removed and elevated the distance of the tile thickness and the 3/16" grout distance. The tiles if on the second floor of a home will easily losen due to the expansion and contraction of the home and the difference in the 2 types of tiles expansion and contraction rates.

It is not difficult to remove old tiles. You use a flat bar type scraping tool and the old tiles usually will pop right up off the floor. You will have to break maybe 2 tiles to get started but after that they are easy to remove.

My experience in my own fully tiled in all rooms 2900 sq ft home in the tropics is that I have to remove the old tiles as over time the new tiles losen on top of the old tiles. I have tried it several times and have had at least 1 tile come loose each time.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Kelly

Walk-in shower floor problem

They probably use wrong adhesive that is not hard yet and have tenedency under pressure to squeze out between grout lines. Yes they need to address the problem immediately.
