Thanks Iceburgh! Information would been helpful. Unfornately, I didn't look closely enough to the unit to actually see the battery compartment. So now I have to get the 1.5 volt batteries to place in the unit. Again, thanks. I know now what to expect when I upgrade to a larger mp3 player.

There is a internal lithium ion battery in which you must send the unit back to the factory to get it replaced. There is no way to replace the battery unless you open the unit and void the warranty.

How to change the battery ? where is it ? MP3 SMPK2312

Your MP3 Player has a Lithium Polymer battery that powers your device. I don't know if there's a battery compartment you can take off to change your battery, but I'm pretty sure there's a battery compartment either on the side or the back of your device. I can explain to you how to recharge your battery, but I don't know if these directions apply to your device, as this solution is the best possible solution I can give you. To recharge your battery, you need to make sure that the ON/OFF switch is switched to ON. If you have a charger, connect the smaller end to the MP3 Player and the larger end to a wall or surge protector outlet. A light beside the ON/OFF switch should turn on. Another light next to the earphone terminal (port or socket, however you want to call it) should light up too. This indicates the charging status, as this light will go off when charging is finish. I hope this solution helps and my instructions are related to your product's model number.

My mp3 dosent want to turn on and its charged

First try and reset the player: 1. Press and hold the Power/Menu button for approximately 20 seconds. 2. Release the Power/Menu button. 3. Press the Power/Menu button again to turn on the player.
If that does not do it, re-seat the battery: Here is how to get to the battery, 1. Press the battery compartment in while sliding to the right. 2. Remove old battery. 3. Insert new battery or reset the old battery. 4. Close the battery compartment. Then try and see if it will come on with out the battery hooked to your computer. 1. Remove the battery. 2. Connect the player to the PC to verify if it turns on. 3. Re-seat the battery to ensure proper connection. 4. Verify if the player turns on.

My iwave digital mp3 player wont turn on but the battery is full it only turns on when i connect it to my USB port at my LapTop

iWave has been scamming everyone with these. They never work for long and they're not very good. Just buy an ipod nano or touch, much more reliable. That's what happened to me when I had mine.

WARNING! Marshal's iWAVE MP3 Player has a virus installed

this is what you call a false positive, the program does something that the anti-virus dosent like so it tries to act against it. its probably something to do with your operating system or even the guy controlling it, sounds to me like you need to take more care of your computer... i suggest a reformatting of the OS and hard drive is needed, re install the program and see how it dosent happen any more!!!

MP3 Player won't work

I had the same problem too. What worked for me was rolling the battery while it is in the battery compartment and holding the play button at the same time.

Can't get my mp3 player to work iwave

Just bought one and figured it out. On these mp3 players the default option when you turn them on is to go to the folder of files that are recorded using the microphone. hold the menu button down and you'll see a number of options. use the track skip buttons to navigate left and right and select the music option and press the menu button to select it. once you're in the music folder it will turn on to music. plug it in to usb and drag any .mp3 file to the folder in explorer and it should play. if your songs aren't playing make sure you convert them to .mp3 files before loading them.
Best,
