Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T33 Digital Camera

My DSC-T33 Sony Cyber Shot Model No 5446998 has a blank LCD screen when taking pictures or recording movies.What could be fault. Thank you. billsyd2004@yahoo.com.au

It's probably faulty CCD. Well know problem with the T33. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at toms.safranovs@gmail.com and I will give you a good price.

I just replied your previous question that this problem occurs due to ccd imager chip failure that will be replaced to get live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.
Local camera repair shop will replace it, let me know if you need part number of ccd imager chip of DSC-T33 camera.

This is due to failure of ccd imager chip in your camera, replace ccd imager chip to get live view in lcd to take fresh pictures.
Let me know if you need ccd imager chip part number.

It's a faulty CCD imager - a very common problem with the T33 - the imager has to be replaced. You can buy it from http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/toms.rammsteins and replace the CCD yourself (ask seller the instructions).

Sony DSC-T33 puts hot pink into the pictures


Hi,
Hot pink effect in picture is due to bad CCD Imager in DSC-T33 camera and this part will be replaced.

Sony will reapir your DSC-T33 free of cost because Sony announced a scheme for same problem. Click Sony CCD Support for details.

try cleaning the lens first.

when taking the picture press down lightly so it will focus. Then press harder for the picture.

I found on the Sony Support site that this is a factory fault and they are repaired for free in the USA. Because we are in Fiji i am not sure how we can repair this,
