Question about LG LFC25760 French Door Refrigerator
This appears to be a common problem with LG LFC25760 / LFC21760 .
When I got home from a day at the beach and opened the fridge, it was hot and smoky inside. The lights had stayed on and melteed the control unit enough that it dropped from the top of the fridge.
I did a google search and found several similar reports for this model.
Clearly this is a design defect and should be fixed for free by LG.
Yes, contact LG for this known problem. it's a circuit board defect. the tech should replace both bulbs w/lower wattage, plastic bulb lens, lens surround and bulb sockets themselves. be sure to have your fridge model # and serial # handy.
