I purchased two Artic King 10,000 BTU Air Conditioners. The base of the units on the exterior of the building build up with water up to about 1 deep when it rains or running. Why is there no drain?

Artic King 10,000 btu units. My concern is that in a couple years the bases will just rust through if nothing is done to allow the water to escape. Should I drill a hole in the bottom to allow the water to escape?

If you look inside the exterior part you should see a copper tube(part of the refrigeration tubing) that rests horizontally under this water. The water cools the freon inside that copper tube. That's why some models don't have a drain there.

Arctic king window air conditioner. Purchased a 5000 btu unit. Installed it and been running several days. I see no water dripping from back of unit. Is this ok.

It is perfectly fine if the building is cooling and isn't humid. Once the A/C system saps all the moisture out of the air, it won't drip much if at all until there is more humidity. For more info on why they drip and when ... Why is my central air conditioner dripping water

The reset button keeps popping when I plug in the unit? It won't turn on

when the reset button pops it indicates an over load situation and it works to prevent further damage to the unit
could be a start run capacitor failed or the compressor seized
call an ac technician for a check and a quote

Change the starting capacitor with a known good one and see what happens. If compressor good, it should start.

What are the dimensions of the vertical window slider kit that comes with the NEWAIR AC-10000E 10,000 BTU PORTABLE Air Conditioner and does it extend to at least 60 inches in height. If not, where do I...

Just build on out of wood and paint it. It will have better insulation than those cheap sliders that get sun beaten and let insects in. Build one out of wood and caulk the edges it will look better and work better.

Split Unit Spitting water

Do you live in an area of high humidity? This could be your problem. The water that is coming off the evaporator and draining to the outside pan is building up and picked up by the condensor fan and consequently blown by the fan inside. If this is the problem the fix is to drill a hole in the pan to permit the water to drain from the pan. Be careful as to where the hole is drilled so as to not damage any component of the a/c. I would suggest at least a 1/4 inch drill bit be used to make the hole.
