Re: no oil for the chain
With the bar and chain off, start the engine. Does oil come out of the side port on the engine? If so, clean all of the holes at the drive end of the bar including the small holes that lead into the chain slot plus clean the chain slot itself. Compressed air works very well for this purpose. If oil doesn't come out of the port, then (Is there oil in the tank?) there is a problem with the filter (in the tank) being plugged or the lines to and from the pump are damaged or kinked as well as the pump being in trouble. Some pumps have very fragile plastic drive gears.

Poulan chainsaws are at the cheap end of the spectrum when it comes to good chain saws. I had the same chainsaw and there is no oil adjustment. Basically, the Poulan oil feeders just drool onto the chain....whether it is running or not.

This is fuel starvation, start by replacing the fuel filter inside the fuel tank, use a piece of bent wire to hook the fuel line and filter out of the tank, check the condition of the fuel hoses up to the carb, any signs of leakage and you will have to change the hose. See if this works before we go into the carb to locate the blockage.
Take the exhaust off so you can see the side of the piston, if it is scored or damaged it means it has probably been run without oil added to the petrol. That can cause the problems you are having, if it is throw it away, its not worth repairing
An IPL containing fuel system parts with very little detail can be found here: Poulan.com http://www.ordertree.com/modelinfo/POULAN-WEED-EATER/75.59.html “2150 Gas Saw Type #” (the dash number from your serial number). May also be Predator or Woodsman. The fuel system parts can be found on the "Engine Assembly" and "Handle & External Assembly" illustrations. Take good notes and a some digital photos with as much undisturbed detail of hoses and routing as possible. Try your local chainsaw seller/mechanic for fuel hose. Take a short length sample, there may be different size hoses. All need be fuel resistant. Fuel Line Replacement by SmallEng.com http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrXpU70Hmi0
The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, the output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill the bulb as it inflates).
The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs will help with reassembly. HTH Lou
