for htc HD2 windows mobile : download the WMDC (windows mobile device center) for win7/vista PC or PC SYNC 4.5 for XP and install it to use your Windows phone 6.5 device.

Are you not able to run the activesync program despite the Vista warning? Did you try running it in compatibility mode? What happnes when you try to connect with sync center (what happens...any error messages)? Regarding the mobile device centre...did you check that McAffe and windows firewall is not blocking it from internet access?

For XP its Active sync 4.5
For VISTA it shold be preinstalled on as Windows Mobile Device Manager, you can download both software from microsoft.com

That is no driver for window vista.
U can use your memory card to transfer your data.

i had the same problem. go to sonyericsson.com and search under the global site search for the phone. there you will find all types of updated software that is vista will work with. you will have to force the USB driver to work so the dock will recognize on the port. other than that a little bit of work and wham-o you'll be able to sync. any ?'s email me at metlhed370@yahoo.com. just be sure you are on high speed internet or you'll be waiting a while for the download.

windows vista uses its own sync software, which is available on the windows marketplace
if your vista is original you can upgrade to this software
if you use xp version, just keep using the usual active sync

when you connect the phone through usb, the phone gives you a few options, including "transfer files" - choose this option and the phone would act like any other usb storage device.. this should work for transferring your pix. if you wish to be able to sync etc, there's an alternative (free) software, which I think is even better than the official pc suite.
