LAPTOP NOT TURNING ON (by 9 users)

I HAVE MY LAPTOP AND WHEN I TURN IT ON IT WILL NOT DISPLAY. THE POWER LED COME ON AND THAT IS ALL THAT HAPPENS.
CAN YOU ADVISE WHAT I CAN DO THE RUN SOME TEST

i am on the main bord of my T41. i can see the cmos battery but can not find the jumper (jbat).
can you give a pic that i can compare with.

i have done that but still yet nothing happens. the power LED come on , i can hear the fan turning and the battery LED is on. this is about all that happen.
any other recommendation?
I have the same problem.

I have the same problem, I tried to change the RAM and still it won't start. I open the case and I can't find the jbat... where is it actually located? pls help.... thanks!

my labtap was low battery i turn it off then turn it back up and no display i can hire the fan. after it i opened it and everything seem ok they told me it can be possible tha is a display card that i can replaced it i need advised help me ,.

When i turn on my laptop t40 pentium M series, I can hear the fan, but it won't display. I have removed the battery several times and replaced still, no display. Please assist me.

I have repaired count less T40's with this issue, it's normally caused by a bad Ram chip, try pulling one of the sticks out (if you have 2) and powering on with just one, if that doesn't work try the same chip in the other ram slot, then try the other ram chip. I maybe a bad system board, but most of the time it's the ram.

get to the mainboard
there is a jumper near the cmos battery usually shows the
word (jbat) near it , try to change its position for some
seconds while power is off , this way will clear cmos and set the
mainboard bios to default settings.
start the system hit delete or F2 to enter setup then exit saving changes.

i have ibm thinpad t40 latop.i have a doubt that where is the cmos battery and its jumper placed in the motherboard?

I have a thinkpad T42, with the same problem the power LED come on , i can hear the fan turning and the battery LED is on. this is about all that happen.

my laptop is turn on and all the LED s are blinking except HDD LED.but Nodisplay what the main cause of this..please help me sir....
