Question about Imperial IR-6-C Elite Gas Kitchen Range

Elite 36 restaurant range

We have two of these ranges and one has had oven problems. It used to start up then shut down after about 10 minutes. We have replaced the control valve and thermostat. And now it heats up and stays on but just keeps getting hotter and hotter. We are on a remote island in Alaska and our appliance repair guy says there is nothing else to fix
Any ideas

I should have described it better, for about a month it would turn off after we lit the pilot, then one day the pilot stayed on so we cooked an egg dish in it at 450 and then turned it down to keep something warm and the oven never went down. The repairman replaced the control valve and said it worked. We think he didn't stay long enough turned it on it stayed on, then turned it down and the flame went lower so he assumed it worked. However it just keeps heating up, it goes down for a bit then up and stays high. So he replaced the thermostat and that didn't solve the problem. He says that is all there is to fix on the stove.

Let me see if I am understanding you. The oven used to heat up and then shut down after 10 minutes. then you had a guy replace the valve and thermostat on the same oven, and now it will not shut off at all? I think maybe your repair guy connected something wrong. if you have 2 of these same ovens, visually check the one that works against the one that don't, see if there are any differences.

Oven temp fluctuates

It is normal for the thermal device to turn on and off. Obtaining a steady temp is not always possible. When setting a temperature on some ovens, they have what is called a tolerance point. That means a set temperature has a range of a few degrees up or down. At the Down point, the oven is triggered to energize the coils and bring the interior of the oven back to the settings desired. The other factor is opening the oven and allowing cool air to enter, or in some cases a leaking door seal allows air to enter and heat to escape.

I have a Garland Sunfire 36 inch gas Range. oven does not come on again after reaching temp.

You probably have a bad thermocouple. Try cleaning it off with sand paper. It's the part that the pilot light is igniting.

I just got my (new to me) pre-1990 Wolf 36'' range connected (by a certified pro). 4 burners, 12'' fry top/charbroiler/cheesemelter thingie on left, 4 burners on right, 29'' oven - propane. It has not been...

the oven pilot has 2 setting first setting is for you to light small flame, should not be all yellow if it is it has a dirty orifice inside the pilot hood, you can remove this by disconnecting the pilot line from the hood and removing orifice for cleaning, just rub it with a cloth.once clean and replaced you light pilot and check it out. if its ok turn on oven and secondary pilot will ignite that why it got bigger!! this heats a flame sensor to allow 100% safty vavle to open to let gas into burner so yuo can cook.

Over the range MV Oven shuts down from heat

it is triggering the overtemp switch. try to check the vent outlet, it could be clogged with dirt. or the cooling fan of the magnetron is no longer running. could be stuck up because of not being used for a long time.
