Once you open up your browser go to the tools setting then once thats open go to internet options when that opens you will see a place where you can type in your new home page.erase everything in there and type and at the bottom of the page there will be an APPLY button, click that then click OK.

Caps lock is the same as shouting. And if you want folks to help you, you don't shout at them. After all, it is probably your fault that the homepage changed. Many downloads and updates hide little checkoff boxes to add things like toolbars and homepage changes. You must be diligent and notice these before just clicking thru them. All you need to do to restore your homepage to Google is to open your browser, type "" into the URL line and press Enter. When Google comes up, at the top of the browser click on the TOOLS menu option, then OPTIONS, and there you will see what the homepage was changed to, but also you will have a click option to use the current page (Google). Once you do that, Google will be back to being your homepage.

How do i remove safe search homepage off the web from acer laptop

What search engine are you using?

If you are using Google, then go to and click settings in the lower right hand corner, Safe Search Filters will be the very first option, there you can enable or disable the feature.

Let me know if this resolves the issue

Change browser in acer tablet

In settings area of browser, you will find chrome set as homepage or default browser. Delete the entry and change to browser you want. Make sure you enter the name correctly. The pc will pop up a box asking if you want this as your default browser. Click yes. Each time you visit google, it will try to get you to change back to chrome. Click no thanks.Eventually, it stops asking.

How do I change my brouser to goolge on fire fox?

This is actually pretty easy.
First, in the address bar, type in and press enter
You should now be on the google home page
Now, on the address bar is the little g logo beside the address
Click and drag the little g logo onto the home icon...looks like a little house
When you do that it will pop up a little box labeled " set home page "
And, it will ask you if you want to make the document as your homepage.
Click on yes and you are done.
Google should now be the home page for you.

This also applies to any other website that you visit.
If you want it to be your homepage, do the same thing with that page as you would for goole.

I hope that this helps you out, and have a great day !

P.s. don't forget to give me a good rating if this helps you out, ok?

Thanks !

Hi , i cant connect to youtube website ? all other sites are fine and working ? i went on youtube ealier today and it says you have to link up google accounts , so i clicked link up but have a hotmail...

You don't need to do anything special to connect to (or browse and stream) on youtube. Clear your cashe memory and / or use a different browser. Try Internet Explorer if you use Firefox and vise / versa. If you use Google Chrome, they mayn have that link up requirement. Don't know as I don't use Google chrome.

Is there a way to get back my original homepage? I have an Acer and I was using the homepage that came with the package, with widgets etc. I clicked on a button and lost my homepage and I don't know how to...

Usually the homepage on a new PC is either Microsoft, or your computers own homepage.
If you have lost the sidebar in windows vista, or the widgets in windows 7. Right click on the desktop, you should find the option to restore/add widgets
