Seeking to purchase Goldstar MV-1304W/B - need microwaave 24" or less with vent for over stove. Is it still available or is there another model that will work?

There may be a General Electric model that is essentially the same with a different label. Other brands will work, although you will probably have to change the mounting bracket. They are not as likely to have problems with the magnetron's magnet losing field strength, as was the case with some Goldstar/GE wall-mount units from the 1990's.

We have a Goldstar airconditioner model GWHD6500R . Can we get a way to install it in a window that opens sideways?Right to left. Thanks

Sure. You *must* install it horizontally as it is designed, however.

To fill the gap above the unit, you will need a panel cut-to-size. Otherwise, the hot air will recirculate back into the room.

Window too small

Not really, the condenser must be able to draw air from the outside and must stay outside, sideways the A/C will not function properly.

Can i install Goldstar air conditioner in the window sideways?

No. This will cause the oil in the compressor to move into other parts of the system where it's not supposed to be. This will cause the compressor to lock up. Also, some units use the condensate water to help cool the condenser. Sideways will kill it.

GoldStar model GWHD5000

Make sure that the unit is properly mounted in the opening (I take it it's in a window) and that it is level or at least not tipping inward as in the outside being higher than the inside. If unsure about how to mount it properly, consult your owners manual. Your installation should be reasonably close to the illustrations.

I was wondering if you can install the air conditioner vertical instead of horizontal since the window is too small

NOOOOO. The compressor in it is mounted and can only sit one way. If you install it sideways it will burn up the compressor
