Hi April, Using the HDMI or the provided RCA jacks (red, white, yellow) any time you switch between the two you will need to perform a video reset on the system. It's the same process for all models. I am putting in a link that tells you exactly how to do it. ^^ Good luck, and I hope this helps.

SOURCE: My PS3 hdmi cable does not work

First off, if you want to use the hdmi remove the supplied composite cable from the back of the ps3.
You don't need both plugged in at the same time, and I'm not sure with the ps3 but some video devices will not enable both at once.

Have your tv selected for whatever hdmi input you have it plugged into. They should be labeled where you plug them in.

With the unit in standby, switch off and red light in front, hold the power button by the disc tray for 3-5 second. You will hear it beep, after the initial turn on beep, then you should see a display set up screen.

If you switch back to the composite, you will have to do this over again.

DENON AVR-1912 PS3 ISSUE

You might just have a handshaking issue between your PS3 and your receiver. See if there are any firmware upgrades for your PS3, Receiver or both. This usually takes care of the problem. If not - your receiver has a 2 or 3 year MFG Warranty. Have it checked out or exchanged.

My ps3 has no picture but has sound

you can try this..

leave a testimonial if it works.

if it doesn't write back and we will try another idea I have.

From the PS32_bing.gif main menu:

1. Settings->Sound Settings->Audio Output Settings
2. Change it from HDMI to Digital Out (Optical). I do NOT have optical hooked up on my PS3, so if you have it hooked up, you may want to unhook it.. probably shouldn't matter.
3. I left what was defaulted: "Linear PCM 2 Ch. 44.1 kHz" and 48kHz
4. Right on the D pad (X selects/unselects options) to move to the next screen.
5. A confirmation page, hit X to Enter, saving the changes.
6. Start up a game, you shouldn't hear any sound (as expected)
7. Exit the game, then go back to Audio Output Settings and switch back to HDMI. I selected "Automatic" for "method for setting the output format."
8. A confirmation page, hit X to Enter, saving the changes.
9. Start up a game, you should now hear audio with your game (once again).

My issue I believe was caused because I had been using a different TV2_bing.gif for a while. Somehow, when I switched back to my original TV, the settings did not automatically reset back.

Good Luck!

Check if it has a scrambled image on all sources ie - DVD- VCR - cable/satellite box. Since the PIP is normal it sounds like the signal source is bad.

Using monster

Hi, You will need to go into the menu of the AVR to change a few settings. To get into the menu -
  1. Make sure you are on an input of the TV that is connected to the COMPONENT VIDEO output of the AVR (I imagine you already have this hooked up)
  2. Using the Denon remote that came with the 1907, filp it to the back side and open the door that covers more buttons.
  3. Press the System Setup button
  4. Go into the AUDIO SETUP
  5. Make sure the DIGITAL INPUT ASSIGNED is set to none for the audio input you wish to use for the PS3.
  6. Going back a menu to VIDEO SETUP, make sure that the COMPONENT VIDEO you are using is assigned to the AUDIO INPUT you are using.
That should fix your problem. If you need more clarification or this did not work feel free to post that on this question. Good Luck

No video - blue screen...

since you bought this console used, it maybe set to HDMI 1080p/ 1080i/720p output(by the original owner) and if your TV does not support this there will be no picture, the only way to lower the output resoloution is to get into the options menu but to do that you will need a freind with a tv that supports whatever resoloution its been set too.

How do i hook my bluetooth to my ps3

After you have connected the headset to the PS3™ system, you can verify that the PS3™ system is receiving voice input from the headset
and that the headset is correctly playing output.
To test and configure your headset
In your PS3™ system’s home menu, go to [Settings] > [Accessory Settings] > [Audio Device Settings].
After you pair a Bluetooth® device with the PS3™ system, the Bluetooth® device becomes the default for both input and output audio. If the
headset is working correctly, you can hear your voice loopback in the headset. The audio input bar will indicate your voice level.
