Question about Fellowes 3011001 Shredder
Heres a few sites that have gears another that has manuals you may have to call or email as not all parts are listed on website
To take apart ,UNPLUG the unit
There are 7 to 9 screws on the back depending on which unit
gently pry the two halves apart .if it seems stuck you may have missed a screw or
The blades are held by a plate on one side and this is fit snug to the top and bottom halfs , use a screw driver or butter knife to get it started then pull firmly upward with both hands , flip the top over and be gentle with the wires as they will remain connected.
pull out the motor and gear housing , remove the black plastic retaining clips from the gear housing then remove the 5-7 screws in the white gear housing , the one half (cover)will come off exposing the gears and you can identify wich gear is broken and replace it .
this is a good time to clean it out too :)
