Cordless Phone and Router 2.4

My cordless phone and router ( Linksys wrt150n) are both on the 2.4 freq.
When the phone is in use incoming or outgoing, it kills the transmission to internet.
Is there anything that can be done.

When on a cordless phone connection to internet is lost with wireless internet

Most wireless routers transmit over the 2.4GHz frequency, which is the same as many cordless phones. If you can, move the router or the phone so that they are far away from each other. Otherwise, the easiest thing to do is buy a cordless phone that operates on another frequency. (Most phones display their frequency on their packaging.)

Try setting the channel to #11 on the router. Default channel settings conflict with landline cordless phones, even your neighbors.

How can i adjust the signal strength

There are several things you can do to improve your signal strength.

1) Locate your router away from any devices that may cause interference such as microwaves, cordless phones, walls and metal objects (e.g. file cabinets)
2) Locate your router as high as possible in the room
3) Change the channel your router is using
4) Replace the antenna with a more powerful antenna
5) Increase the transmitter power output in the router settings

My wireless signal has deteriorated - slow speed and sometimes cyts out. no problem when wired directly

1. This is due to the location of the router and or antenna strength .
2.Make sure your router is not next to a cordless phone.

I keep loosing connection

Check if there is any other wireless device such as a cordless phone close to the wireless router. Some cordless phones opereate on the same frequency as some wireless routers and cause signal problems.

WRT150N 0ccasionally wireless is lost. Repower gets it back

Where is the router located? There maybe devices that run the same frequency as the router that may interfere the wireless connection (e.g. microwave oven, cordless phone). It may help if you place the router in the middle of all your wireless computers, change the channel of your router (change it to channel 1 or 11), or securing your wireless network by changing your SSID (do not use default wireless network name as others maybe using the same) or use WPA or WPA2 to make sure that nobody uses your wireless network.
