How do i get my hp1200 printer to print, is on a off line mode

Hi Joy,
Disconnect the printer completely from the PC.Unplug its power cable too.
Reboot your PC.
Connect everything again from scratch but use a different USB port to connect to the PC.Make sure everything is well connected.Try printing now.Cant print?
Under printers and faxes, check whether 'work offline' is checked by right clicking on the printers icon and 'Uncheck.Still cant print?
Uninstall the printer driver on your PC,reboot the PC and install software again. If you don't have the installation disks, install from this Hp Support site making sure you select the driver that corresponds with your Operating System[Windows 7,Vista,Windows XP etc]

Hope this helps.Thanks!

I just purchased a Dell Inspiron i570 computer. I hooke my HP C3140 up to it. It shows as my default printer but the status shows as offline. How do I change it to online?

Offline means the printer is off. You should check printer to see if it is off, then turn it back on. If it is already on, check the cable (usually usb printer cable) to make sure the cable is securely plugged in to computer and and to printer. You might also need to reboot your Dell printer too. After all these, but printer still says offline, you might need to delete that printer in control panel, printers and faxes and reinstall again. If this is a case, you need to follow the printer installation correctly for it to work. Let me know if I can further help.
Thanks

DOES ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO SOLVE MY PROBLEM?HERE IT IS..IT ALWAYS OFFLINE MY PRINTER EVERYTIME i print it,he goes offline and the print is unabale to print can anyone help me?to fix..thank you. im using HP...

when you hook up your printer to your pc via USB...can the computer detect your printer? does it prompt out any msg such as new device is installed and ready to use or did it ask you to install the printer driver?
if your pc can't detect your printer, replace the USB cable and try again.. and try to plug into a different USB port on your pc.. and if all fails, then most probably your printer main board is faulty...
