Hi,
I am assuming that this just happened and that the machine was ok otherwise. If this is true, try the following steps first:
** Assuming the machine is still on:
1. Hold down the power button on the machine until you force it to turn off.
2. Wait at least two minutes, turn the machine back on and see if the machine will start normally.
If not, see this link for additional information and discussion about this model:

Just be careful - performing some recovery or repair procedures can cause data loss, so please be aware of that before proceeding.

Does it get to the Operating System screen? ie, anything that indicates a Windows system or similar OS? If it doesn't make it to the OS screen I would say that there may be a problem with the hard drive, in which case you can try re-installing a clean version of your operating system, which would require you to lose your data. If your adequate with computers I would say take the hard drive out and retrieve any data you want to keep by using it as a slave drive on another computer. Otherwise you may want to take it to a computer expert to get the data retrieved for you. If you can live without it than get an operating system disc and do a clean install of the operating system, which should fix your problem.
