With these automatic pool cleaners, this is often a problem with the treads or having air in the head. Make sure that your treads are not worn and are getting proper traction. If they are worn, you might need to replace. To rid the air, try turning the Aquabot upside down and submerse in the pool for a few minutes. This should force the air out.

How to sharpen a pencil so the tip doesn't break

When I was in school it would always frustrate me that the tips of the pencil were always breaking in the sharpener. It took many tries of turning the pencil and turning the sharpener, different amounts of pressure and I finally found the secret.

Sharpening a pencil is a very easy thing to do. When you are using a hand sharpener, either a small plastic one with a cartridge to catch the shavings or the really small ones that don't catch the shaving, your put the utencile end of the pencil into the sharpener keeping it has straight as possible.

Applying a little pressure turn the pencil in the clockwise motion (you can turn either the pencil or the sharpener both will work). The shavings will begin to fall off and you keep turning until either you are satisfied with the sharpness of the tip or the shavings stop coming off. Make sure that you don't put more pressure on the pencil to make the shaving keep coming off because that will make the tip break and get stuck in the sharpener.

Pull the pencil out and clean the sharpener, it should be good to go. What I discovered was that if I had dropped a pencil a few times then the lead inside the pencil would be broken and this would cause the tip to break after sharpening. Treating your pencils nicely will keep them from breaking tips when you sharpen.

Chainsaw Bar Oiling

Keeping your chainsaw bar oiling during use is the life of not only your bar but your saw. If the bar is not oiling, you will over power the engine on the saw thus depleting it's service life.

On most saws there is a oil set screw on the bottom of the saw next to the bar; it has three settings. One way to see if your bar is oiling is to start the saw and put a piece of cardboard, old shirt or board in front of the saw while it is running. Rev the engine up with the bar in front of the piece of material and you should see a vertical line appear. If you can see a vertical line, your saw is oiling properly. If you see a vertical line with a lot of spray, then it is oiling to much. Adjust the set screw accordingly.

Another thing to keep in mind is to make sure your oil line running from you oil fill tank is not clogged with debris keeping the bar from getting sufficient oil.

Also, if you have a bar where the tip can be lubed, make sure you grease it. The tip of the bar gets extremely hot and keeping the tip properly greased will allow the bearings in the tip to last longer. Here is what you need and how to do it below:

Grease Tip of Bar

Purchase a pre-filled grease gun manufactured specifically for the tips of chainsaw bars. Oftentimes, when purchasing a new saw, one will be included, if not they are inexpensive to buy. Use high temp grease when refilling. Place tip of grease gun in hole at tip of bar, and give a few pumps. When grease comes out the end of bar, enough has been used.

I have a problem with a jerking motion while Im trying to weld. the wire feeds out good without the tip on. I replace the tip but I havent replaced the cup but Im using flux core wire also. What could be...

I have found that keeping the gun lead as straight as possible fixes this problem. Also it is sometimes recommended to use one tip size bigger when welding with flux core wire. My last spool was radnor flux core wire .030, and a .035 tip keeping the lead as straight as possible and it welded extremely well. If that doesn't solve it you should take everything apart and clean it / blow it out with compressed air.

Tips for tackling an unfamiliar project.

When you are about to tackle a repair on a product you are unfamiliar with, FEAR NOT! These simple tips may help to make the repair go smoother.

Use a digital camera to take pictures of the disassembly. This will help later on when reassembling. Especially things like part positions, screw locations, wiring, etc.

Use a piece of foam to poke screws into while disassembling. This will not only keep them organized, but will keep them from getting lost.

Hope these tips help!!

Sounds like the head float just below the debris bag is bad. Check to see if it has water in it. If so then replace it. That float helps keep it upright.

My welder just stopped welding. It's a Telwin 220 Mig. The fan is still running but there is no noise from the welder and the wire is not feeding. I had only used it for around 30 seconds before it...

your feeder may need adjusting or more commonly the tip has tacked itself on the edn cap
keep the line as straight as you can & keep feeder compartment clean!
keep plyers handy for when wire is stuck in the tip
if you need to replace wire spool or a brakage of the wire make sure the wire is free or BURRS b4 you put it in the tube or you will damage the tube!
