On the Pro4000 model you hold the 2 arrows until you go into setup mode. Then arrow up ONLY til you get to option 13. The display will read 13 and 1, press the DOWN arrow and it will read 13 and 0. This turns off Adaptive Intelligent recovery. Now hold the 2 arrows til you see the normal display screen. You are done.

I just did this with a Honeywell tech rep on the phone.

Thanks so much for this! This AIR system kept kicking my heat on and waking us up at 3 in the morning regardless of how I set the thermostat. For a solid week I had to get up once it woke me and manually turn the thermostat back down.

Excellent instructions - no fluff, and to the point, folks! Follow this, and it will work!! :o)

You have to get the unit into installer mode which is generally done by pushing the Information I key plus up and down arrows above it (this is in the manual for your unit if it makes it easier)...scroll down using the up and down key on the __program pad__ unitl you get to the correct number - on my unit the adaptive recovery is number 14, Change it from 1 to 0 or 0 to 1 depending on what is currently set and that should turn it off - it's annoying I know! Good luck - honeywell has their manuals on line too.

For most Honeywell Thermostats push the up and down arrows at the same time to switch to installation mode. For your model go to the Honeywell site and download the installation manual (the user manuals do not have the information you need). In the manual you will find the code, usually 13 or 14 that controls the AIR system. Change the setting from 1 to 0 and it turns the AIR off. You can also adjust the cycling of your furnace, etc in these menus.

I have lost my lead to my acer laptop aspire5100 series model number BL51 19v .474Acan you help.I am a mature age person thanking you Pat

There are two solutions to this problem, Pat.

One is to buy the correct AC adapter (Charger) for the laptop.
Two is to buy an aftermarket AC adapter that will work for your laptop, but will also work for many other laptops.

The above is from a quick search. Your search may be better. Just put Acer Aspire 5100 charger, in your search box.

2) From another quick search,

Would also like to commend you for your intelligence.
Stating the Voltage, 19V, and the Amperage, 4.74A ,is a really intelligent thing to do.

(The charger MUST have 19 Volts for the Voltage. The Amperage (Amp's, or A), can be more)

I want to turn off the adaptive intelligent recovery feature on my TH8000 Series programmable Honeywell thermostat. How do I do that?

You only need to turn it off if you are using program mode. Very nice stat btw. Heres a link to the pdf and I will also explain. Use the system select button so that the heat option is flashing. Look at the bottom of the screen and you will see 7 boxes. First one done and seventh one cancel with all boxes in between blank. Now at the same time hold the 3rd and 5th box (buttons) for approx 5 sec. A new screen will appear with a number sytem staring at 0120 with up or down arrows and 20 with up or down arrows. Push the left up arrow till the left number reads 0530. The right number will read 1 if its on. To turn it off select the down arrow so it reads 0. Then select done and your all set.

Chronotherm Three thermostat vs Buderus Logamatic Computer.

The outdoor thermostat senses the the temp of the outside air, and adjust the boiler water temp according to what it knows is best. The reason that the boiler is running longer is the old boiler used to be constantly sending 180ish degree water to the baseboard, now that water may only be 140ish degrees. The idea behind this is to reduce off cycle heat loss, as the greater the temp difference between the air temp and water temp, the quicker you loss heat. The theory in boiler run time is this, the less times it starts and stops, and the long run times will give you the best efficiency. Hope this answers you questions.

Non-deletable schedule in VisionPRO TH8000

The thermostat has a function called "Adaptive Intelligent Recovery".

This feature allows the thermostat to learn how long the furnace and air conditioner take to reach programmed temperature settings, so the temperature is reached at the time you set. For example: Set the Wake time to 6 am, and the temperature to 70°. The heat will come on before 6 am, so the temperature is 70° by the time you wake at 6.

You can turn off this function. Download the installation guide at the next link:
and look for funcion number 0530 Adaptive Intelligent Recovery. In this manual you also find the way to do a reset with the function number 0710.

I hope this solves your problem.

Solution #2 as above worked (thank you very much!) to get to the programming mode, but on mine keeping Function #13 on the default setting of "0" maintained the AIR.  Toggling the Temp button to "1" changed the system to conventional on/off at the programmed times.
