You shouldn't need to manually enter in the network name. Refer to your documentation that came with your router for the default network name (SSID) and passphrase.
As always, I recommend you change these when you can to something more secure.
Select your network in your network settings on your TV, input the password, and it should connect.
If you can provide the model number(s) of the TV/router, I can guide you a bit further in the right direction.
I'd try the reset first. You could try asking their support. They seem to answer every question that they are asked, and the answers seem pretty thorough. Product Support
You have to enter the router password on every wireless device you want to connect to the internet. You usually only have to do it once per device, but it won't connect without the password. The password it's looking for may be on the label on the router or in the wireless setup page of the router.
