First thing to try--put in a brand new needle!
Are the problems you're encountering a mess of threads under the fabric when you sew? Or is the top thread breaking when you sew? Then your problem is not the bobbin but the top tension.
The mess of threads under the fabric is called "thread nesting" and is caused when the top tension is too loose. So tighten the top tension until the top thread and bobbin threads meet in the middle of your fabric. If the thread is breaking, then loosen the top thread tension until the threads are equal.
If you continue to experience thread nesting when you first begin to stitch a seam, try the method in this video:
How and Why to Bring up the Bobbin Thread
Usually, adjusting the bobbin tension is the LAST thing you want to try because a tiny adjustment can throw everything out of whack and you will have a difficult time getting it back to where it should be. Bobbincase tension is set at the factory, so only experienced sewists should attempt adjust bobbin tension.
If it is a metal bobbin case, there is a little screw on the side that adjusts the bobbin tension. FIRST, mark where the indentation of the screw is on the metal case so you'll know how much you have turned the screw. Then turn the screw only ONE-EIGHTH of a turn, then test sew. Right = tighten, Left = Loosen. Turn the screw again, then test sew. If the stitching is getting worse, you need to turn the screw in reverse.

Bobbin tension is one of the biggest problems most sewing machine operators have. Check information sent for assistance on this.
