The charger prong is going to need to be replaced cause its not detecting your charger which is why its not charging.

An idea is to go on Ebay and look for a broken PSP where the prong is still good and maybe get one on the cheap and repair it yourself.

I did a quick search for you and here is the link:

http://shop.ebay.com/items/?_nkw=broken+psp&_sacat=0&_trksid=p3286.m270.l1313&_odkw=broken+pap&_osacat=0

You may get lucky or you can just get a new PSP but at least you have a few options or I just thought of you could look for a repair place and see what they would charge to replace it.

My galaxy 3 phone will not charge properly how do i fix it

Charging issues is a process of elimination. First the charger....many chargers will fit but not all that fit will work. A bluetooth charger will fit but would never charge your battery completely. Make sure you are using a proper charger. 2nd is the charging port on the phone. If the charger is loose it could be a bad port or the prongs on the charger are not holding....is it loose? Or if there is corrosion on the port. If corrosion, clean with alcohol and tooth brush. 3rd is the battery. If its swollen, then it's toast. A li-on battery will start to decrease after 400 to 500 charges.

Hpdv6500 charger doesn't seem to be connecting

Step 1:
If your laptop charger seems broken, it's most likely because the battery will not charge. You plug in the cord, the lights come on, but the charging light doesn't change or blinks repeatedly. When you remove the power cord, the laptop shuts off instantly due to the depleted battery. There's more than one cause for this, and it's not always a broken charger.

Check the connection between the charger and the laptop. It should fit firmly in the DC jack without wiggling. If it is loose, use electrical tape to hold it in place so the charger can receive power. This is a temporary fix, however, because a faulty connection can create sparks and cause a fire or injury. A loose connection will just get worse over time, so have it sent to a DC jack specialist as soon as possible. Turn off the laptop and flip it upside down. Locate the latch that secures the battery and slide open. The battery should pop out; give it a tug if it doesn't. Apply a small amount of rubbing alcohol (Methylated Spirits)to the tip of a cotton swab and use it to clean the battery's connectors. Dirt can build up and interfere with the connection, giving the appearance of a broken charger. Let the alcohol dry completely and re-insert the battery. Slide the latch to secure it and plug in the power cord to test it. See if the laptop powers on with the charger only and battery removed. If it does, the battery is the likely culprit and should be replaced. If the charger is truly broken, the only thing to do is to replace it or the power cord attached to it. Look on the bottom and write down the part number. Call the laptop manufacturer for a replacement charger or search for the part number on eBay. If you purchase from anyone other than the original manufacturer, ask for genuine parts to reduce the possibility of problems. Troubleshoot Mag Safe adaptors

I have an Acer Aspire 5517 laptop. No problems at all until a few days ago when it stopped charging. Replaced the charger and battery, and still won't charge. Even flashed BIOS, Help!

Check the pronges inside the battery compartment. They will be like copper plated if they are not loose or broken then it may be a motherboard issue.

I cannot charge the blackberry 8320 and the battery is new.It was charging just fine. I change the battery and the charger.and it still has the problem.

Hi, my name is jeff and I work for a used cell phone and repair store in Sioux Falls South Dakota called THE CELL PHONE GUY. what could be going on is that your charge port is broken or loose. there are about 4-8 prongs that are solderd on to your board, those will come lose or break from dropping the phone, hagining your phone on your charger, or just normal wear and tear of putting your charger in and taking it out. you would have to re solder a new charge port on there to fix that. luckily my company THE CELL PHONE GUY are highly trained in charge ports we have done over 2000 charge port repairs with 2 coming back on warranty, if you want us to fix it give us a call! 605 335 0411

My Nuvi 200 will not charge and the USB port

My condolences. I would suggest you plug the unit in to your computer's USB port using an appropriate data cable (in case you no longer have the Garmin data cable, there are lots of devices, including cameras, that use such a cable with the large USB plug at one end and the mini-USB at the other). That would give you a handle on where the fault lies -- in the auto charger cable itself vs the nuvi's socket. If the nuvi charges from your computer, you're halfway home; if not, I suspect the cost of repairing the nuvi's USB jack could exceed the cost of a replacement unit.

Motorola razr2 v9m wont charge

My guess is that the charging port in your phone has gone bad. By holding it a certain way, you may be reconnecting it just enough to make the connection. Probably have a loose or broken wire inside your phones port. You may also see this is a problem if you try to hook it up to a pc.

The prong that the battery charger plugs onto is loose/broken, how do i take the top off the laptop to do so?

Remove the keyboard first, there may be screws holding the case together under the keyboard.
Make sure you first remove all the battery and drives etc. there are usually screws in these areas that secure the case together.
The top and bottom parts of the case are held together by plastic clips. The best way to open the case is to start at an opening and gently spread apart the case until the clip releases and then continue along that edge and gradualy continue working along the other edges of the case.

Won't Charge! :-(

Hi. these situations are mostly caused by a bent or broken copper prong that is located within the input charger port that is inside the phone housing.

When you insert the charge cord into the input port, there are copper prongs that will have to connect to each other and , this contact point will transfer the necessary current to the cell for a proper charge.

If the prongs are damage in any way due to broken copper or, bent copper prongs, this will prevent the necessary current from flowing to the cell.

Most remedies are crude like using a tooth pick or paper clip to straighten out the prongs inside the port. these methods do more harm than good and i recommend sending this phone in for a input port transplant. the manufacture or local repair depot is the best repair solution for this situation.

There is one thing that i would do before sending it to the repair depot. try using a completely different battery cell. if you purchase a new battery and the charger continues to not charge, this will confirm the input port failure.

Please rate and god bless:)
