Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
I seem to have a common Xbox 360 disc drive problem. I would place a disc in the drive, there would be a very faint "groaning" sound as the staus displayed "reading" (not the normal disc spinning sound) and then the status would change to "open tray," as if there isn't a disc in the drive. So I opened the Xbox up (my warranty expired last December, a year after I sent it to Microsoft for an overheating related repair) and opened my Hitachi drive up. When it was opend the little round magnet was in the center of the spindle, and the spindle was all the way up (thats right?) Also the laser block was all the way forward, as close as it could get to the spindle. I tried spinning the spindle and there seemed to be more resistance than I expected. Where do I go from here?
