Olympus SP-720UZ screen turns on but remains black

Sounds like a hardware problem... You may have to take the camera to a dealer and have them check it out. However, try this first:
Leave the card out for a while, and recharge it. Then reset the camera to factory defaults is you can (check manual).
You may also want to check with the Olympus web site to see if you have the latest firmware update to your camera model. You could try and download latest version and install it.
Hope any of this is to some help... :)

It won't start it just has apple on screen

hi

try to reset your phone

To reset i Phone, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least 10 seconds. During this time, a red "power off" slider may appear and the screen may go black, but do not release Sleep/Wake and Home buttons until the Apple logo appears.

If i Phone won't turn on, or the display freezes or doesn't respond

  1. Press and hold the Home button for at least six seconds, until the application you were using quits.
  2. If that doesn't work, turn i Phone off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of i Phone for a 10 seconds until a red slider appears, and then slide the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If that doesn't work, reset i Phone. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

More resets:

Try This:
1. Remove Sim Card
2. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until Apple logo appears
3. Replace Sim Card
4. Hold in 'Home' button and 'On/Off' button together until normal phone screen appears.

Also, Try this:
1.) Shut down the i Phone 3G.
2.) Start up i Tunes
3.) Hold down HOME button on the i Phone 3G
4.) While keeping the HOME button depressed, plug in the Sync cable
5.) A message will pop up to ask if you want to reset.
6.) Just click YES and the reset process should start.

I tried downloading an app and now its plain black screen

Hello,it's not the application that caused you having the plain black screen, what you are facing now is simply caused by a "FLEX" problem, and this could be fixed, all you need to do is just to visit a phone accessories store to purchase your phones FLEX in there, then you replace it with the faulty one.it's the FLEX that connects the screen and the keypad together.so the flex problem occurs due to frequent sliding of the phone,or consistent drop of the phone on the floor.this is the most frequent problem with slide and flip phone only.

wish you good luck,

thanks for using fixya,take care.

I replaced the screen on my cracked iPhone 3G. The phone turned on and worked fine, but the home button was unresponsive. So i took the screen/LCD out to check the connections. The phone turned back on and...

put it on DFU mode. then, try to restore it using iTunes.

I believe that you have a problem w/the home button. maybe it's pressed all the time, so the phone cannot boot.

try dismatling the screen again, and check the home button contacts.

if you think the contacts are not ok, try to replace the home button.

if yo thinks there's no problem with the home buttons, try to enter to DFU mode:

1. turn off and connect the iphone to the USB.
2. press and hold power button for 5 sec
3. press and hold power and home button for 10 sec
4. leave the home button pressed until the computer recognize the iphone as a DFU device.
5. restore with iTunes.

Cheers,
Gery

My iphone is stuck on the apple screen and just

Turn phone off, then power on holding home and power buttons at same time. After 10 seconds release power but continue to hold home for another 10-20 seconds and the screen may go black but you will be in DFU recovery mode. Use iTunes to recover phone.

If that doesn't work take it to an Apple Store or AT&T store

My screen is white i hold da sleep an nothing

Try holding both the home button and the power button for 10 seconds. This should hard-stop the phone, and the screen should go black (powered off)

Wait 5 seconds after it's off, and press the power button for 2 seconds to turn it back on.

Wont load up home screen.

Hello. Try a different hard drive. I have only seen a couple machines do this, but replacing the hard drive fixed it both times. Thanks!

Blank White Screen with Black Dot

you can have the phone reflash to correct this problem or just take it into your provider and have them look at it for you.

Env turning off

Most of the time it is just old software on the phone. Try to take the phone to a Verizon corp store and see if it needs flashed with new software. If it already has current software then it needs to be replaced. Once the phones start randomly shutting off there is no turning back. The processor on the phone is shot at this point.
Both Verizon and LG are aware of the issue.
