Printer fuser failure

replace the fuser. Fusers have a life span based on the number of prints and not the age.

If you dont print alot on the unit, consider contacting the retail store or manufacturer

Xerox 6280 gets error message replace fuser kit, it was replaced and still has the same message

This is an easy one.

The original fuser supplied with the printer DOES NOT have a counter chip. Instead, the PRINTER assumes that when the number of pages printed reaches the level at which the fuser needs to be replaced, the printer issued the REPLACE FUSER message.

If you replace the fuser with another that has come OUT OF a new printer (i.e. a 'PULL' from a new unused printer), since it has no counter chip of it's own, the printer assumes the fuser pagecount is the same as the printer pagecount (because there is no information to read from a fuser chip), and still wants the fuser to be replaced.

A new REPLACEMENT fuser from XEROX, or a CORRECTLY refurbished fuser WILL have a counter chip, and therefore clear the REPLACE FUSER message.

LaserJet P3015 is loud and you start to use the tray 1 moves repeatedly input tray and roller if all papers using loads very quickly leaving stuck in the fuser. the tray 2 works fine.

If the printer is loud ( loud buzzing sound ) then is caused by two things. 1. The fuser pressure roller bearings are worn and 2. the fuser drive gearing on the left hand side of printer ( as you look at it from the rear ) may also be worn.
I have replaced bearings before but they dont seem to last for long. A new fuser is the best option.

After I print a few on a good quality paper the print is smurred and gets worst as it prints could it be my fuser

first check if the media(paper) you used are correct in the printer drivers, HP for each kind of paper quality, have diferent speed to cross the fuser, when de printer are new, the fuser are good and dont need change that, but before 10 months you need say to the printer what kind of paper are used.
If your paper are from more tha 20 lbs, used the paper say heavy paper.

If after you check this and dont correct, probably 70% are the fuser.

User error

. Turn the printer off, wait 10 minutes, and then turn the printer on. 2. If the message persists, reseat the fuser. If that does not work, replace the fuser. To check the fuser, turn the printer off and remove the fuser. Measure the resistance between the fuser connectors. If it is not within the proper range, replace the fuser. If there is not continuity between the fuser connectors neutral and hot with the fuser removed, replace the fuser. If the problem is not related to the fuser, replace the engine controller board.

Canon D760 Fuser

Hi Yes when cleaning the fuser you have to be extremly carefull! The fuser can be easily damaged by poor removal or using harsh chemicals. Usually if the fuser is in that bad of shape to where you are having to wipe and clean it your better off replacing the fuser. But again in order to remove fuser you will need certain tools . I hope this helps!!!

50.2 fuser errer message

Hello, even i am having the same problem. I was looking online and found this stuff: step 1: Turn off the printer and switch it on after 20 mins. Step2. If the above step doesnt work then remove the fuser and replace it back again. Step3: if the above two stpes doesnt work and you still have that error message, then remove the fuser and check the impedance, if its below the required level(i dont know whats the required impedance is), then you have to change the fuser. I tried both step1 and 2, it still shows the error message, i guess i will have to change the fuser. Let me know if this helps Susheel
