SOURCE: file error/polaroid camera polaroid t1031

I have the same camera and that happens to mine sometimes. That happens when something wasn't right when you took the picture. If you press the delete button while it has the "file error" on the screen, it will delete the file and then you can continue use with your camera. Sometimes when this happens it freezes the camera so you have to turn it off and back on, then try deleting it. I hope this helps you!!

SOURCE: My Polaroid t1031 digital camera doesn't stay on

Hello. When a digital camera will not stay on, it is a sign that the battery is low or that the battery is bad. Put the charger on the battery and see if this cures the problem. If it does not, you will have to purchase a new battery. J.

How to turn on after computer shuts down while transferring pictures from the Polaroid t1031

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

Camera freezes after startup

If you added an external memory card, try removing that first. I put an 8 gig mem in mine and it would just error out because it didn't support that much. Otherwise I would send it in.
