If the player displays this message for every disk you've tried to play (presuming you've tried several) there is likely something wrong with the DVD mechanism and it needs to be repaired or replaced. Some would telll you to purchase DVD lens cleaner and try that, however, in my experience this is usually a waste of money. I have yet to see a DVD with a lens so dirty that it wouldn't play any disk until it was cleaned and then it played everything. If you're under warraty the repair/replacement will likely only cost you shipping of the player to an address you'd get from the manufacturer or your manual. If this is attached to your TV, you'll get in-home service if the screen is big enough. Oherwise you'll have to carry the unit in or ship it someplace for exchange/repair.

Power off the equipment. With all (and I mean all) electronic equipment, it is not enough to press a button. To power of modern electronic equipment, unplug from power source for 15 to 30 seconds. Then power equipment back on...give it 5 - 10 seconds to power-up all components. First try a disc that reads fine on another device, such as the DVD player on your PC. Then try it in this device. Success?

Our TOSHIBA MW27F51 SD slot isn't working. Unfortunately, it refuses to read my micro SD card despite having the adapter to insert it. Does it just not read micro SD or is it a formatting issue?

We turned our TV on alittle while ago and heard a sound of something breaking inside the TV, (like glass breaking) and now the screen is black with one thin colored line across the middle of the screen. The audio is fine. I know that was the picture tube breaking and if I am right is it cheaper to just buy a new unit. We have had this one 4 years and 3 months. Thanks so much for your help!
