This is rather easy..Go purchase a I/m water line install kit. Please measure the amount of feet this will need and buy the correct size and install the tap/saddle valve onto cold water line under sink. Then, run your water line out of the back side of sink and around baseboard or behind the cabinets to back of refrigerator. The rest is just connecting to the valve on refrigerator and check for water leaks and your finished...Bruce

We received a used Kitchenaide Superba fridge & the waterline is sticking out from bottom front of the fridge, & Iappears to have been cut or broken. I'd like to connect it to our pipe under the sink....

Go to the hardware store and buy a "Fridge Ice maker connection kit". It will come with copper tubing and fittings you will need to hook it up. You will also need a "T" fitting to connect it to your water line at the sink.

Hi hope you can help, I have a 2 door fridge with a bottom draw freezer purchased new 2008 and I have lost the instructions. The prolem I need diagnosed is water leaking from the freezer draw. thanks.

Sounds to me like you have a leak, probably from an ice maker tubing connection or vinyl water supply tube itself. Have someone get a good flashlight and get a good closeup look at where the water is coming from. The water supply to the fridge's icemaker comes from the house wall, floor, or cabinet area of sink. Often they are connected to fridge, then someone moves the fridge to clean and the line gets run-over or tugged on too hard causing a leak. If that is cause, install a new line (hardware stores have these specific to ice makers, 1/4" vinyl or copper tubing) and it should be coiled several times in mid air near the wall, so if fridge is moved out it just uncoils not incurrs damage from un-noticed tension (full amount of water pressure in that little line).

2nd possibility for newer type fridge. All frost free fridges have a pan underneath that catches condensation from coils, from the pan the water evaporates into the air where balance is achieved and pan is never full. On rare occasions, like during moving, on some the pan isn't fastened down and can fall out of place, then condensation water from the coils falls to floor (not any great amount but some).

I have an LG side by side LSC27910ST The water

My fridge was hooked up with a self tapping fridge line. I had two different plumbers/repairmen tell me that if the water flow ever slowed I should switch it to a dual line water shutoff, with one going to the sink and one going to the fridge. I did this and it more than solved my problem. The water now flows way quicker than ever.

Oh and I always had good water flow within the guidelines, as in filling a bucket with the line that goes into the fridge. It was a pretty easy fix that only involved one run to home depot. Make sure to note the size of the line that goes into your sink or even just take that hose with you.

I heard a dripping sound and discovered it was coming from the back of the freezer. I also noticed the infrared receiver light is flashing red...what's up?

The common thing is the water line hook up to the back of the frige. First find the shut off. It is usually under the sink or behind the fridge. Roll the fridge out slowly so as not to damage line further. Also roll it straight as not to damage floor. Once u turn off the water line listen to make sure the water drip has stopped if it stops thats the problem. The line is very easy and simple to change yourself. You can get the plastic ones or copper one at the home centers.
moz-screenshot-1.jpgThe water shut off can look like this behind fridge....

or like this if its under sink either way follow the line from fridge to find it.

I know this sounds really stupid, but I think that my water line is frozen for the ice maker in my kitchenaid superba fridge. Everyone is suggesting using a blowdryer to defrost the line. My stupid...

The water line would run up the back of the fridge.

I don't know that the line could freeze, but I'm no pro. I just wouldn't think that would be possible.

Has the fridge been moved lately? Maybe the water line got pinched? Try checking where the water line runs, maybe it got pinched somewhere else (under counters/sink, etc).

Good luck!

No water going to line in back of fridge, turned on valve at wall were line goes to fridge...looked below sink for valve ,the closest water source...were i n the world could a shutoff valve be?

If it doesn't come off the cold water supply under the sink, check in the basement, start by looking under the refrigerator in the basement and following the line to where it terminates, that is where the isolation valve should be located. It is a national code that an ice maker water supply to a refrigerator have an isolation valve that is accessible, that means it could be anywhere. If the refrigerator is brand new, then the line and the coil or reservoir inside the unit need to be purged, you may have to hold the water dispense button down for 10-15 minutes to push all of the air out.

Kitchenaid fridge (ksrw25crss02)icemaker slowly stopped working, decreasing in the amount of ice it made until finally no ice at all. also, water trickles from water dispencer.

hi kev215,
welcome to fixya.com.

Huuum at your service.

You said, the ice maker slowly stopped working, decreasing in the amount of ice it made until finally no ice at all. also, water trickles from water dispenser.

The first thing I would ask is when did you last change your water filter in the fridge?
Or if it's an older fridge with an inline filter behind the fridge!
check the shut off valve for the water line that leads to you ice maker. under the sink or in the basement or where ever the line comes from. I've seen where someone turned the valve a little clockwise unbeknown to the home owner and stopped or slowed the water flow.

The water line should be checked too, for any kinking that may be running behind the fridge or some unseen place!

How old is the fridge??

Let me know,
Thank you Huuum
