Need mower parts, push and riding

I am actually looking for the best place online to purchase lawn mower parts. I have used a few places, but they all seem pretty sketchy if you will. I order tons of parts, I was hoping there was a large distributer somehwere. Thanks.

Where is the fuse box on gt 5000 craftsman lawn mower?

If you think your riding lawn mower has blown a fuse, trying to locate that fuse may be the most challenging step in replacing it. While different lawn mower manufacturers have located the fuse holder in different areas of the lawn mower, the best place to start looking is near the mower's battery, according to Sears.

Some manufacturers have made it easy to find the fuse holder. Simply lift the hood. The fuse holder is molded into the metal right inside the hood, near the battery. (See photo at Ref. 3, p. 53) If the battery is located beneath the seat, you may find the fuse holder located beneath the rear fender. Other manufacturers make it more challenging, placing the fuse inside an electrical box, located behind the mower's upper air baffle. (Ref. 4, p. 28) Fuses can also be located on or close to the edge of the mower's electrical panel, above the solenoid.

If you check these locations and still cannot find the fuse holder, check your operator's manual for a diagram of the electrical system, which should display the fuse's location. If you no longer have your manual, it may be available online through the manufacturer's website. Should you be unable to find a manual, call a local lawn mower dealership or lawn mower repair shop and ask for assistance in locating the fuse in your exact model.

Try looking online at the Sears site using your Model#. They sometimes have online illustrated parts catalogs which may show enough for you to get by.

If the belt comes off a riding lawn mower...will it still cut grass

Probably not.

I would expect to find two belts on a riding mower; one to drive the riding lawn mower (lets call this the DRIVER) and one to drive the actual mower part (lets call this the MOWER).

To answer your question one way, if the driver belt is off, it will still cut grass, but you cant move the mower. If the mower belt is off, it will move but not cut the grass.

If your belt is broken, take it to an automotive parts store or garden equipment place for replacement. You might also support a FixYa.com advertiser.

I hope this answers your question. Thanks for posting at FixYa.com and please vote.

The star mounts on my poulan 42'' riding lawn mower

Without knowing your mower for sure, I think I know what you may need to do. Most often, you just need to remove the block that the pattern is on. These are most often bolted onto the shaft. If you don't have your parts book for your mower, you may bee able to look it up online.

Riding mower question

A riding mower may be the best choice if you have a large lawn and a place to store the mower. Some models can pull a mini trailer. There are even models that have an aerator attachment. The only way to get a sense of these mowers is to look at them and try them out. You will probably need to go to a professional gardening shop to get a feel for the range of possibilities.
