This is as close as I can come to finding an answer. You are correct in saying this info is hard to find. I have also found that someone changed the thermistor and it still did not repair, so, good luck on this and hope it resolves your issue.

Hi Mary, Searching online has given me the following information: it's a major problem requiring replacement of the main board and possibly the scanner unit.

There are a few reasons why LED tv is displaying thin lines. It could be that the flex cable may have formed a few corrosion, and it is causing the contacts to loosen up. Opening the LED tv and cleaning the contacts may sometimes fix the thin lines. It could also be that the LED is defective and needs replacement.

a flashing display is how samsung shows error codes. try and draw a picture of which segments of the display is flashing. think of the figure 8 and then try to show which part of the 8 is being shown. that is how we can tell what error code needs fixed.

Monitor is fubar. Time to go shopping.

try the new firmware it will reset the whole unit this should work

i have a old led display, and dont know how to use it. all it says on it is micro sign, london sw.6. and cherry on back of control.
