Hi

Your projector has 3 lights:

  • Power / Standby LED
  • Temp LED
  • Lamp LED
Is only the Power / Standby LED flashing green and then turning red?

Thanks

    Thank you.

The flashing green means that the projector has just been turned on, but is warming up. This is normal. When it turns red, it means it has entered the standby state and is either waiting for you to plug in:

        the power cord

or the video cable from a device like a laptop, VCR, or whatever you want to project an image from

So basically, it's waiting for an image from a device.

To get it to project something:

        Remove the lens cap

Ensure that the power cord and signal cable are securely connected. The Power LED will be red.

Turn on the lamp by pressing “Power/Standby” button either on the top of the projector or on the remote. The Power LED will fash green.

The startup screen will display in approximately 10 seconds

The frst time you use the projector, you can select your preferred language from quick menu after the startup scree display.

Turn on your source (computer, notebook, video player, etc.). The projector will detect your source automatically.

If the screen displays “No Signal”, please make sure the signal cables are securely connected.

If you connect multiple sources at the same time, press the “Source” button on the control panel or direct source key on the remote control to switch between inputs.

    Hope this helps.

    Best regards

What is the device you are connecting the projector to (make and model)?

Did you turn the device on and still get no picture through the projector?

Finally, if you turn on the projector and point it at a projector screen or wall without connecting it to any device, does it boot up and display the brand logo on the screen, or does the bulb not even light up?

My hd20 has a power-icon light of amber, when power button is pushed it goes to flashing green and it doesn't turn on, just flashes green

Have you tried decreasing the resolution of the computer?
When the resolution is too high for the projector, something similar to your description happens.

The problem with my projector is it keeps flashing green and red

hi,

your statement is not very specific but if the power led is flashing green and the lamp led is flashing red that indicates a fan failure.

contact optoma support here and enquire if you can have a warranty repair, or how much it may cost to have the fault fixed.

Hello
if replacement lamp has done, was the lamp timer reset after replacement? and if the lamp is original, there is either a bad lamp or a cooling problem.

Optoma HD72 flashes red and green. I changed the lamp but the problem wasn't resolved. Any input would be greatly appreciated.! Greg

I had the same problem with flashing colors after playing for awhile. The following helped:
1. turn off bright mode from menu.
2. keeping the back side of the projector flat. I had it raised up about 3" on the backside before, not sure why but it worked fine when flat.
Hope these help you also.
