Question about Samsung YP-K3 MP3 Player
My yp-k3 samsung connects to the computer and charges but when i try to transfer files on to it, it says no device detected!please help!!!!
Well I was facing a similar problem and none of the above mentioned solutions worked really for me until I noticed that the device uses MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) for data transfer and isn't just a mass storage USB device like most other MP3s.
The above blabbering aside here is the solution:
1. Download Windows Meda format 11 SDK and Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) Porting Kit from the Microsoft Website.
2. Install the above mention software plugins and Restart your computer.
3. Connect your MP3 to your USB port (note: better connect it first to a main hard wired USB port rather than Cardbus or Hub Port at least for the first time then u can connect it later to a hub) and thats it it should be recognised as an MTP device and then the name of your MP3 will show in the system tray as a portable device as well as the model number in your device manager.
