Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Elite Console
Yesterday, I turned of my 360, when I turned it on, it showed 3 Red lights Of Death, I freaked out, turned it of and on a few time it didn't work, I waited for a few minutes and turned it on and it worked just fine, it happened to me today too and worked normal after that!! What can I do, and could it be because I use it a lot?? Or maybe because behind it there is the thing that we put the TV on and the air behind the 360(between them) gets hit?? And is this serious?? Ohh Yeah this console was bought in either 2004 or 2006 I'm not quite sure as I was like 7 or 9 years old back then...
You can fix the 3 lights of death by replacing the x-clamps and the crappy thermal paste. Here is a kit to fix it and it comes with the guide too.

You might be alright if it is an intermittent problem, the three red rings have to do with the system overheating. just make sure the console is well ventilated, not in a cramped space. If it does become a constant problem there are fixes posted on you tube or maybe somebody locally that could help you open it and fix it.
