SOURCE: warning light that is orange

I just checked the owner's manual. I think you may be looking at a brake warning lamp. See if this helps.

SOURCE: reset bmw 530 puncture warning light

The TPMS signal is not idetified by your vehicle, when a predetermine amount of air is not present the sensor turns off. When this sensor turns off .Your vehicle TPMS monitor notice it and turns the light on.Some vehicle needs the TPMS monitor to be reset.Others need to be turned on. Still others just needs a set amount of air pressure to turn on and driven in your case the TPMS monitor should detect the sensor and the light will turn off

Reset tyre pressure warning light mini one

i have just had my tyre on the front right changed due to puncture, and now i have a warning light - low tyre pressure which is very annoying! I went to the mechanic and he told me he needs to reset the computer system and it will go away! is this correct? i have my doubts now as he was the same mechanic who changed my tyre and may have interfered with the sensors in the car.

Hi, my tyre pressure sensor came on indicating a puncture? I have felt the tyres over a 3 hr period, but no tyres are going soft. Could it be the sensor?

Try to inflate each tire to the same pressure and run it. If the light comes on after clearing it, then it could be a bad wheel speed sensor circuit.

But, be warned, that the car will sense even slight pressure irregularities over several miles based on wheel speed sensor data.

I have a orange warning light flasing on my mini cooper 51 plate and i do0nt no wat it is can u help?? the symbol has a (!) on it? there is a button with the exact same symbol under my handbrake

This is the tyre pressure indicator. It shows that one of the tyres is losing pressure through a calve leak or puncture, or can also be triggered after you get new tyres or rotate the tyres.

The method to re-set the tyre pressure warning light is as follows:

Turn the ignition to position 2 (ignition on but motor not started). Press and hold the button under the handbrake until the warning light on the dashboard comes on for several seconds. Start the engine. Drive the car normally for several minutes. This will cause the system to re-set to the current tyres and pressures you have. It will then only turn the warning light on if the pressures change - for example if you get a puncture.

I don't have an owners manual...TPMS indicator light just came on

hi from uk TPMS tyre pressure managment system ? this indicator may well be a simple tyre pressure under inflated ? for some reason ? slow puncture ? when were tyres last checked for correct pressures ? you should check routenely at least weekly ? not wait for indicator warning ? if you check pressures then try see if light resets ?

Run flat tyre warning light is on i have checked tyre pressure

This will only come on when a tyre has dropped in pressure (not spare). It work on the principle that a tyre with less air has a smaller rolling circumference and therefore a different wheel speed. This is then monitored against other signals from other wheels and determined that a loss in pressure has occured.

If all tyre pressures seem ok, there could be a chance of a small unoticeable leak and would require a bath test. This is when the tyre is dipped in water and bubbles would appear where the puncture is.

Ultimately the system may just need to be reset, or has incorrectly been reset from a tyre change. For this you just press and hold the TPC button (located on the centre console above the gearstick - looks like a flat tyre with an exclamation) turn on the ignition to position 2 and the light will come on re then yellow,go out, come back on yellow. When it comes back on yellow it re-initializing the system. You can let go of the button and after 20 odd seconds the light will go out for the final time, completing the reset.

If the light continues to come on after the reset then you definitely have a puncture somewhere!

Hope this helps!

Every other week i'm getting flat tyres very unexpectedly. The tyre pressure warning light comes on but instantly the tyre is completely flat. Apparently its due to corrosion of alloy rims, how can i get...

Hi,

A temporary workaround/remedy is to put innertube inside the tire. Even if the alloy rims could not longer provide a good air tight seal, the inner tube would still hold the air. You may need to specify the tire size and width. Additionally, you may want to ask your tireman to likewise install a buffer of some sort between the innertube and the alloy rim. This is to prevent the any sharp portion of the corroded alloy rim puncturing the inner tube. Some local tiremen use a cutoff/old inner tubre as buffer.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
