Repairs to scratched glass is a specialist repair only requiring specialist chemicals and buffing equipment. I would not recommend you attempt this yourself. Your screen is also likely to have an anti-glare covering which is additionally problematic in this situation. There are some glass repair products available - as an example see

However I could not recommend these as you are likely to make the problem worse instead of better.

You may find the best solution is to contact a windshield repair company and ask them to do it for you.

Hope this helps. Please remember to rate my answer. Many thanks.

Screen damage from Panasonic Viera TV

There is a solution. If you brought this to my shop I would replace the film (depending upon availability). Absolute worst case is replacing the screen (costly). Of course this is my shop, you'll need to take it to a reputable repair person. Sorry

Can you lay a plasma tv down flat to work on it?

I won't do that, because you can scratch your screen. If you have a the leg stand for your tv, I would put it back on and then work.

Scratch on plasma screen

You should be able to make the scratch become invisible using a white eraser. A pink one will work, but the white one works better. Just simply erase the scratch, it may take awhile, but your basically buffing the surface down even again making the scratch un-noticeable.

My plasma tv has several really deep scratches on the screen, how can i go about repairing this?

There are liquid solutions for filling LCD scratches
it's basically a plastic material that fills the scratch.

Big scratches are more of a problem. I am assuming that your
Plasma screen has a glass surface and that it's only scratched,
not physically broken. You may also try glass polishing compounds
for filling and polishing chipped windshields. Be careful, try it on a small spot first to make sure that you don't dissolve any plastic anti-reflection coatings etc.

Good luck

My tv

If this is on the screen itself, this is difficult. The screen has an antiglare coating. If it is an LCD set, the screen is polarized.

If the stain is on the cabinet, you may be able to remove it with polishing compound for acrylic paint. Turtlewax makes a very good polishing compound for this.

Follow the instructions for the polishing compound to use it to remove scratches and stains on plastic and painted surfaces. There is no guarantee if it will work very well on the surface or not.

If you really want to fix a scratch or stain, you can buy the replacement parts from the manufacture that are damaged. This will require some service work, but it can be done.
