Generic problem for all Phones
Interferance on handset 1, echo (by 2 users)

I have a crackling sound only on handset 1 we have only just purchased these(1 week ago) and it has a echo as well. we have done everything by the book right from the start.base is not near any thing to interfere with no fluros etc also we owned a older uniden before purchasing this one for less money and we are finding the quality poor especially what we paid for this one can we change between frequency?

I have the crackingsounds in the handset & coming from the base too. Just before we receive a call, the base will crack & sound like static before we hear the first ring. When we dial out there is the same noise. We have made sure there is no electrical product in or around the base unit. There is no problem with the other 3 phones, just phone # 1 at the base, & the base too. We purchased this set in November 2007.
