use a straight thru to connect directly to the router. Cross overs are typically used when connecting PC's directly together or daisy chaning routers or switches. Try a different port on the switch? Also from a pc, go to the DOS prompt and try and ping your TV. If your TV IP settings are all correct, and your network equipment is working, your should get a response from pinging your TV. If you don't, I would suspect a problem with your TV Enet port.
Don't used the Blu Ray player on the tv HDMI out put hub.Used the connections for of the Blu Ray player connections by a S-Video cable for the video and the RCA component cable R,W for the connections for the audio out.The high Def.cable box will not work for high Def. this way,but the Blu Ray player will.
On fornt of the player you have the buttons for opreation.You can use these buttons to operate your DVD player with out remote.

Make sure you take the rubber protectors off the ends of the optical cable , put it from your tv into aynet 1 on the back of the blue ray then to hear the tv through the speakers select d.in 1 on the blue ray remote and press the mode button on the controller until you get matrix so you can listen through all speakers.
There is a video select button on the receiver. Press it and it toggles through all of the video sources. Keep pressing it until the display says video=source.
