Question about Maytag CWE4800A Electric Single Oven

1 Answer

I have a Maytag double wall oven purchased in 2001. I need a bake element but part of the serial and model numbers cannot be read...i can make out serial 18_75575Zq and model CW_800AC_. Can you help me fill in the missing digits so I can order the part? I guessed at the part and ordered by measuring and like appearance but after receiving it im not sure i ordered the correct part.

I am in Houston, TX...the part looks exactly like the old one except the leg ends where the wires are attached have a different color..the old ones are blue, the new red. Also, i was told to simply remove the screws that connect the wires to the old element to remove it but i find no screws so im not sure how to remove it.

Hello, I have checked out every source of mine and unable to come up with the correct model number...In the past when I dont have a model number I have taken the heater to a local appliance store to have them match it...If you want to comment back with your town and state I can get you a list of local suppliers, also its worth remembering you reallly only need find one that matches yours beacuse all heaters are 220v and really any heater that fit's would work. comment back and I will give you a list of local suppliers. oh ok well you have the right heater just the wrong terminals..that heater WILL work..just need to change the ends, all you are going to need to do is cut the terminal Ends off the wires..next if im reading this correctly you have spade connectors on the end of the heater...go to an electrical supplier and buy a pack of crimp on connectors like in this picture i'm going to insert...

The one you prob going to need is similar to yellow one 2 up far right...anyway go to an electrical store home depot will have them..buy a crimping tool and crimps..no more then $10. Attach new connectors to heater..reassemble your oven and your good to go.

If you have any other questions feel free..

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

Maytag Model MEW6530 Baking Element

Theck the thermostate, the thermostat is the circuit that activates the heating, and power the baking element , when this is faulty there is no heat or low it, give it a check.

If you need to buy the replacement part, or to locate the thermostat, check on this website, they provide exploded view, so that you can locate the part.

NEED BAKE ELEMENT FOR THIS MODEL

Hey friend, thanks for your post!

I understand that you are in need of a bake element for your Frigidaire wall oven, RGB94K. I would recommend performing an online search for antique appliances to see if any additional parts are available for purchase. I hope this information has been helpful. -Matt

Thermostat broken

Good Morning a_t_pearson, this is Z. Thank you for your post! I understand that the thermostat is broken on your top Frigidaire oven; therefore I'm assuming that you have a double-wall oven. If so, please help me understand what you are referring to by thermostat? Is your oven not preheating or reaching desire temperature? Are you speaking about the bake and/or broil elements not heating? May I please have your model number? The serial tag, which lists your model number, is typically located on the front of the oven, on the left side, as you open the door. With this information I can better address the issue at hand. Thank you!

Whirlpool built in electric oven bake (bottom)heating element does not heat up only tot heats when in bake mode

CHECK FOR CRACKS IN THE BAKE ELEMENT. IF THE UNIT IS NOT HEATING THE BOTTOM, BUT THE TOP IS STILL HEATING, YOU MORE THAN LIKELY HAVE TO REPLACE THE ELEMENT. THIS IS A 220 VOLT OVEN WITH 110 VOLTS ALWAYS GOING TO THIS ELEMENT, SO TURNING OF THE BREAKER IS VITAL FOR SAFETY PURPOSES. WITH AN OHM METER, UNINSTALL THE ELEMENT AND CHECK BOTH WIRE CONNECTIONS FOR OHMS. YOU SHOULD GET SOME KIND OF READING BETWEEN 10 OHMS AND 500 OHMS. IF YOU'RE NOT AT LEAST GETTING A SOLID READING, REPLACE THIS ELEMENT.

I have an electrolux double oven eou 6330 the bottom oven element has broken. Can I buy and fit it myself as single female with very little spare cash?

Yes. You can do it. Part should be $40 or less.
Turn off the power to the oven. Remove the oven racks.Unscrew the element screws from the back wall of the oven. Carefully pull the element out. The wires may be short. Remove the wires from the element. Do not let the wires pull back into the oven cavity. Take the element to the appliance parts store and have them match it to the existing element. Attach the wires to the new element, insert the terminals into the opening, replace the mounting screws. Turn on the oven and bake away.
P.S. Your model number is not correct.

Heating element on upper oven of a wall Thermador Oven

The control switch may be bad on it. If there are 2 elements on the top, they both are not bad at the same time.Check to see if the wires have not burned off the control switch first. Check to see if your breakers are O.K. Turn them both(maybe 3) off and then reset.
