My assassins creed wont load????

game loads on preview screen but when I try to load it the screen just goes black.

I have exactually the same problem........does anybody know why this is?

Merry xmas. Iv had the same assassins creed Christmas blues but managed to solve it first go to the ps3 homepage and download the new ps3 update patch you can do this straight to your ps3 if it is hooked up to the net. Mine isn't so I downloaded it to my mp3 player and the through the usb port of the console updated the ps3. There are very easy to follow instructions on the site and now after a short while Im playing Assassins creed. I hope this helps all.

I have a standard t.v. and assassin's creed won't load. the screen just goes blank after it says playstation 3.

Jut got a new PS3 and assassins creed game. Have spent hours trying to get it working. PS3 wont read disc. Just get a screen with PS3 home options and no disc being read. Christmas very frustrating in our house.

put disc in then sez playstation 3 then screen stays black

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!!! Except, it affects both "Uncharted:Drakes Fortune" and "Assassins Creed". Okay here is what happened. I went to the store and purchased both Uncharted and Assassins, i was really excited to play and I got home and put Uncharted in the system first. It worked fine, but overtime I began notice it was freezing a bit and the audio would overlap or be a little delayed. OVer the course of 2 days it escalated and became really bad, audio would almost stop playing then be mashed into one big audio clip a minute later. NOW ASSASSINS CREED: is waaayayayayya worse! I cant even play that game on my PS3! The minute I put it in it worked but it had awful load times, at first I just thought, oh ok, it will work eventually, then once i started playing! The same audio thing I experienced in Drakes Fortune (Uncharted) occurred in Assassins but it was 100X worse!!! It was so bad the game would basically "stop" until the audio was retained (which rarely hapened). To make this simple, I basically cannot play assassins since I can;t even get past that "Animous" part you know that machine thing at the first part with the doctors looking at you! Furthermore, Now my PS3 is acting incredibly slow and messed up, I cant play unchrated or Assasins creed but I can play all my other games such as Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Call of Duty 4, etc!!! HELP HELP HELP!!!! - Oh yeah I also returned Uncharted and Assassins Creed back to gamestop and got brand new ones AGAIN = STILL NOT WORKING!!

i have turned off the system, cleaned the disk, taken it back to the shop and got a replacement no difference. tried unplugging controllers.... nothing.

I got the game for my birthday, and I put it in, game goes to black screen, and im sitting there looking at it to load for like five minutes, I dont understand why it doesnt work, some people say that you need a better tv, but I dont think that sony would make a game that you would have to buy a hdtv to play it, Im goin to get another system and see if its jus my ps3

i brought my boyfrend a ps3 4 christmas and u get da game assasin creed wid it and the installation disk dem 2 disks wont load and we have anova game that does work why doesn it work??? xbox 360 is so much betta

I have had two disks so far with the same problem. Screen goes black after clicking on the game icon in the ps3 menu. I have even had my ps3 replaced - and the same problem still occurs. PS3 works with CoD4, and assassins creed works at the store where i bought it.... but through a unique situation does not want to work on my PS3.

Is it a resolution issue? Or a firmware problem? I havent updated my FW yet and am not connected to internet or PSN.

Hi everybody! I am in the Uk using a Japanese console. Everything was fine, I played 5 games on the console and it was ok. After the 2.0fw the console still works, all dvds and blurays but when I insert the game disc I get a blank screen, no sound at all. The ps3 is connect via hdmi and always worked. Tried 2.01 fw and still the same! I have no idea what to do! The BR drive is fine as it detects there is a game, it loads the game wallpaper in the XMB and plays all discs. Anyone got any ideas? I rang Sony but they wouldn´t help me as my console is not European! Please help me people!!

I have the same problem. I had to unplug the PS3 to get it working again - I would get the black screen when putting the Assassins disk and then my other games wouldn't play anymore. The controller quit working, too. After unplugging, everthing recovered. The exact same thing reoccurs each time I put the Assassin's Creed disc back in. It appears to be a defective game design. Has anyone had any luck with a new, second disc? All other games work fine, this one disables your entire machine!

Wont load game

my game loaded asked me to update, did so. played the game switched console off, next day try to put it back on nothing only black screen

I'm having the same problem, I purchased Assassin's Creed and tried to play it also and it goes to the main screen and won't load up or read the disc, so I returned it back to the store, I thought it was the game because I have never had a problem with my PS3, now none of my games will load or play on my PS3.
