Unplug the power. Remove the screws, on the back that secure the outer case and slide it off to the rear. Check near the control panel for a clear glass fuse. If it is bad, make sure to replace it with one that has the same ratings.

My Emerson Microwave MW9117W has lost power and was wondering if there was a fuse or something that needed replacing

There are fuses inside. The big thing is to figure out why the fuse went bad. either something shorted and blew the fuse, or it got hot and went bad due to bad connections at fuse holder. or maybe a bad door switch blew the fuse. I have also had fuses just get old and tired., and just needed to be replaced.

Emerson Microwave model #MW8111SS fuse blown

You also may want to take a close look at the control panel. I found a grouping of 3 resistors at approximately center of the board that were cut on one end. Probably a design change poorly done. Somehow, just out of the blue, those loose ends touched and blew that fuse. Removed resistors........problem solved.

Emerson mw9113ss wont turn on

If the is no power to the microware and the display does not showing any signs of power then you internal fuse has been damaged. First I would suggest you move the mocroware to a different outlet to eliminate the outlet as the problem. Once you have eliminate the outlet, then disconnect the power and then remove the covers and find and replace the fuse. Let me know the results

The ceramic fuse has expired in my microwave (Emerson MW8991SB). Will you tell me where the fuse is located?

On my own microwave I have noticed there is a panel on the interior wall with removable screws...I'd suggest UNPLUGGING it first (of course!) then checking out the interior of that.

My problen is the mico is just a tad over one year old and the timer is working and the light is on inside, but tray is not turning and it is not heating up, could it be a fuse?

I would think it possible.
Remove the outer cover when the machine is unplugged and follow the mains lead in through the rear panel. There should be a couple of fuses nearby.
Always use the correct value fuse of identical type and size!
Hope that helps.

Emerson Microwave Model MW8119SB found blown fuse. Replaced fuse power came back punched in 10 sec started microwave and fuse blew again.

Chances are that either the diode or capacitor are shorted. Be very careful, the capacitor can store a charge and should be discharged first for safety. Hope that helps...

Microwave doesn't work after house fuse blew

Check the fuse inside the microwave. Unplug the power, remove the case screws on the back of the main case and slide the case toward the back. Remove the outer case and look for a fuse that looks simular to an old automotive fuse, usually near or just above the control panel. Check the fuse to see if it is good, if not replace with the same and reassemble reversing method used to access the fuse. Note: automotive fuses will not work. A replacement will be available at The Shack or a local appliance parts store.
