No audio through headphones

The Rosen headphones only work for about 5 seconds when truned on. Turn them off and back on, same thing happens. We have never been able to use them.

Hello, Had the same problem with my Rosen Headphones (see my entry on the 20 Aug) Take the batteries out of them and leave them out for at least 24 hours, put the batteries back in and they should work OK. I think the problem with my ones were that I did not use them for a few months but left the batteries in. So when not in use I wont be leaving the batteries in. Please note they will turn themselves off if they don't receive any IR signal after 3 mins.

Red light isn't indicating it detects source

I have the same model as you.

Plug in the transmitting unit into a good working power outlet. Make sure you have the audio connected to a loud source. Turn on the source device producing the loud audio to be transmitted to your headphones. (This being your IPod - Turn it full blast). Now see if the transmitting unit's LED light is on. Check headphones for audio. (May have to tune in the headphones till green and adjust its volume as well).

Note: Some radio stations bleed over into the headphones and you may have gotten the "Beautiful Music" from this radio station frequency harmonic anomaly. Keep tuning your headphones till you hear your music or audio source.

I recommend that the source of your audio have its built-in speakers off, while still providing audio out to your transmitting unit, via an external audio output. Check your source manual or look for audio jacks on the front or back. There may be a setting to turn this on and for the main built-in speakers to be turned off as well.

If this does not work, unplug the transmitting unit, and then plug it back in again, after waiting for about 10 seconds - all while audio is being provided to the unit. It should come on.

Remember that if the audio to the transmitting unit is quiet OR off for about one minute, the transmitting unit will turn off and you will hear FM noise, loudly, on your headphones. This is due to the "lack of audio" timer built-in to the transmitting unit.

Overhead DVD monitor screen dead but sound plays through stereo

If it's a Rosen dvd player the dvd will need to be put in the unit itself & not the unit in the dashboard! The dvd player mounted in the head ligning is a seperate unit from the stereo system fitted in your dashboard!
Sounds to me like you are putting a dvd into the dashboard stereo system which will play any audio through the car speakers...
Put a dvd into the Rosen unit itself & i am sure you will get a picture on the drop down screen! Remember that as far as i know all Rosen dvd players transmit the sound from the dvd to infra red headphones that should be included! Remember to check the batteries if you still can't hear any sound as they run down quick if the headphones are left on!

Hope this helps....

Cant find headphone socket for rosen in-car dvd player

As far as i know, all Rosen in-car dvd players come with IR (infra-red) headphones so the sound is transmitted that way rather than using a lead from the headphones to the unit, therfore no sockets are neccessary!
Hope this helps....

Wireless head phones won't communicate with our Rosen A10 system

1 of 3 things can cause this
1) the unit needs to have volume turned up by its remote.
2) the volume needs to be turned up on the wireless headphones (locate on ear piece looks like a roll dial) power is on one side of headset volume is usually on the other side of headset.
3) the wireless headphones are faulty and should be replaced by company
note: sometimes the all in one units don't come with a remote which is needed to adjust some features if there is a vol button on DVD unit turn it up if not the other 3 should solve this problem
hope this helped

We have rosen wireless headphones for our auto dvd player. The headphones stay on for just a minute or so and then turn off. Do you know what the problem might be?

You will probably find that the interior of your car is too cold. This equipment is designed to operate between temperatures of 0C and 50C. Allow the interior of the car to warm up and try again.

Wireless functionality

I noticed my Rosen player had an antennae wire for the headphones on the top of the player. You could check to make sure the antennae wire is connected.
