Question about Panasonic PT-43LC14 43" Rear Projection HDTV

1 Answer

Won't turn on

Today when I went to use my TV for the first time after work the red power light stays solidly on and will not change to green....either through the remote or manually. The TV was given to me, I believe it is 3 years old. It had been working fine to this point. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Possible there is a problem with your power button try to check it if it is still functional. Read light means standby power meaning your TV still working. If you cannot do it by yourself fixing it try to bring your TV at your nearest TV shop to check the power button.

Hoping for your kind approval to make my rate Solved for this problem.

Best regards,

Philip

I would not advice you to open your TV set by your own hands but I am probably prepared to advice you to bring on shop to check the power button.

I hope this would be a helpful to you. Please rate me solved!

Sorry for that, but I think you have enough knowledge to fix it. I don't have any manual but I am sure all the parts and mechanism are just the same with the natural TV set.

Just try it and I am sure you got it, atleast don't disturb other parts which is not neccessary to involve in fixing the unit.

    Good Luck.

2Wire 473 router problem

Take the modem and plug it into a GFCI outlet. You can find one in the bathroom or the kitchen.

If the power light comes on solid green and the dsl comes on red then the modem is good. Was it plugged into a power strip by the computer? If so, plug it straight into a wall outlet.

If the power light comes on solid red then the modem has hardware failure. I would contact your ISP and have them replace it if it is still underwarranty.

The Power Light is Red

yeah, should stay red when unit is turned off, indicating there's power but it's doing nothing.

Per user manual:
Solid red - power off (standby mode)
blinking red - power off (now cooling)
blinking green - power on (preparing to light lamp)
solid green - power on

Lg 32lcd2d (tv won't turn on)

It is most likely the power supply. If you see domed caps change them using a higher voltage cap. If it's 1000uf at 15vdc put in a 1000uf at 25 or 35 vdc. If this helps let me know.

Samsung lcd tv ltm1755b won't turn on (power light stays red)

Problem: Samsung LTM1755B with only a blinking yellow LED when you try to turn it on.

Solution: I just had one of these come in. I opened it up, and found the U501 capacitor a little suspicious looking, in that it had a deformed top. It was a 470uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 12mm. I replaced it with a very good quality 1000uF 16V electrolytic 105degC 10mm x 16mm Nichicon UHN1C102MPD. After that repair, when I tried to turn it on, the LED was yellow for a second, then green, then I got a picture, and it appeared to work great. I then asked the owner a week later how it was working, and they said it was working just like new!

Lamp problem or else?

You need to get the ballast repair kit #LSUC0002 and replace the parts to your ballast.

I have the exact same TV, did the above this past weekend, and the TV works like new.

You need to know how to solder though. It's not that hard.
