Question about Canon PowerShot SD300 / IXUS 40 Digital Camera
You can open the case (take the six small screws out two on the bottom and two on each side) Both the front and back will come off you may have to work it a little to get them apart. Look at the back and you will see a three position switch if it is to the far right move the switch to the center position and turn the camera on see if you are out of movie mode if you are verify that the plastic switch cover on the back of the case is not broken (it may just have been misaligned. If after moving the switch and you are still in movie mode you have a component problem and you will most likely need to send it in or buy a new camera. Hope this helped.
