My laptop is making a noise once I installed speech recognition

The only option is to uninstall the software to see if the noise continues, because the likely source is the hard drive.

Disable speech recognition

I really am not sure, but try going; Start, Control Panel, Sounds & Audio Devices and see if that box has some adjustment perimeters that might help you.

If that doesn't work, go; Start, Control Panel, Add Remove Programs. Then you can remove it and try re-installing it. Sometimes that will fix strange bugs like this.

Hi I installed the Rosetta Stone the problem is that not let me use voice recognition. When microphone set out, I follow the steps, I get right, but then you see a box 1129 One or more of the files...

if you changed the default directory for your language installation, it is likely that UACin Win7/Vista is preventing the installation hence missing files. Either run as admin and add language again or reinstall and let it install in its default location
