Question about Dryers
The timer will not advance unless there is heat. Your problem could be a bad hi-limit thermostat a bad ignitor or bad gas valves. Open the burner access panel. Start the dryer on a heat setting and see if the glowbar ignitor comes on brightly. If so. It could be a bad gas valve coil or a bad flame sensor.
All these parts are relatively inexpensive and can replaced replaced by you.
Check the ignitor glow first and let me know what you find.
