In windows, first turn ON your player, then connect it with USB port. Your computer will detect new hardware and assign a drive letter to your MP3. Copying can be done using several methods. Using Media Player, snyc the required songs, similarly using Windows Explorer you can copy and paste the songs to your device.

Sansa Clip 2gb only plays parts of songs

The songs you have loaded have a restrictive license on them that only allows full playback on a computer, not on an mp3 player. If you only download songs in mp3 format, you will never have this problem.

How do I move from song to song?

The manual might help. There is a way to move around quicker, but it is still cumbersome.

How do i move my songs on my mp3 player?

I connected to my Laptop and created folders to contain different albums or songlists. If you want songs sorted by artists or name, that also can be done on a PC folder prior to selecting and copying back to the MP3 player. This worked for me.
