Question about Cutler Hammer Cutler-Hammer No.BR816L125SDP 125A Lug Load Center

1 Answer

Each of the black switch is a removable unit. What is in the unit? Does it have a fuse? I found that one of the switch is supplying power to the furnance and I measured at the furnance end that there is no power. But the breaker switch was not tripped. Is there such thing as the switch is broken(fuse in the box)?

I cannot get the unit to switch on, I have changed the fuse, removed all cables

Was the fuse you replaced blown? Has AC outlet on the wall been verified to be working properly? If outlet works, modular type AC power cable found to be properly seated and fuse was "OK" you've had a power supply failure that requires shop service.

How do I Turn it on

The power switch is on the left side of the machine near the back of the machine.

Assuming that you found the power switch, if nothing happens when you flip the power switch, chances are that you have a blown fuse.

1. First be sure that you unplug the machine!

2. Remove the "Platen" (the big black roller that the paper wraps around) there are clips on both side of the roller. NOTE Which side of te platen has the gear, this will be important when you reassemble it.

3. Turn the machine over and remove the 4 screws in the bottom.

4. Turn it over again and remove the top

5. The fuse is located in the power supply (where the power cord goes in the machine)

6. Replace the fuse with one of the same rating. Fuses can be bought at electronic supply stores (like Radio Shack) or at some hardware stores. Take the fuse with you to be sure that you get the same size physically and that it is rated the same as the old one.

7. Reassemble the machine be reversing the procedure.

Is there a common power issue with Magnavox Model 42MF337B

u have the main switching power supply unit blown. fuse will immediately blow as u have mentioned. they all use smps (switched mode power supply system).  it may be concealed under aluminium plates or cover. look for a  transformer with yellow insulation tape covering near the ac mains input. it is a high frequency tranformer with solid ferrite core. near it there should be the main switching section with a heat sink attached.

Check the power cable/cord for continuity with your multimeter ok. Make sure also that the mains or power outlet is giving the right voltage. This is also done by the use of the multimeter - either analog or digital - any one at your disposal can do ok. if all work well, then the power supply unit should be removed from the system unit, connected directly with the power cord and then bridged. That is at the secondary output which connects to the system motheboard. Locate the power-on cable(normally green in colour) and bridge it with any black cable on the same row. The cooling fan at the back of the power unit should be rolling if the unit is ok. Good luck

Have a honda odessey 2000. needs a new DRL relay; but cant find it under the dash _any ideas _

the daytime running lights control unit is behind the glove box. You must first remove the glove box to access the control unit. However, the fuses that supply power to control unit functions are accessible in several fuse boxes. the No. 3 and 8 fuses (15A) and No. 14 fuse (40A) in the engine compartment fuse box, the No. 5 fuse (7.5A) in the driver's kick panel fuse box, and the No. 6 fuse (10A) in the passenger's kick panel fuse box all supply power in some way to the DRL unit. Other inputs that can affect the DRL system include a faulty parking brake switch, faulty combination light switch, faulty headlight relays or blown bulbs, and even the brake fluid float switch.

Hi, Are you able to test or repair some of this your self? is so use a multimeter and check the power supply,If you get no reading then remove the unit and open the cover, on the printed circut you will find a fuse either glass or ceramic. Replace this and also clean all dust from the unit replace the cover and reinstall in computer. If this fails you may need a new power supply unit. Regards mistyman
